how come 1/10th buggies need the weight in the rear end when 1/8 tend to have more weight front (for example the tekno EB48 ) ?

Good question. I think it is because they are smaller and lighter with a smaller rear wing but just as fast. So they are easier to drive with more weight bias in the back.

My ER-14 keeps getting better and better. I went from 10k up to 50,000 in the center diff. That made it a little looser but much faster acceleration. With the new 3' toe block though, it really locked in the rear. The stock toe is only 1.5', so the 3' optional block is a must!

The first time I raced the ER-14 was in May at FZRC. I raced there for the 2nd time Saturday and finished 2nd with the new 3' toe block. If I did not barrel roll on the triple double, I would have got my first win in 4wd mod.  ;)

The only mods I made to the buggy is I flipped the rear arms to move the shocks to the rear of the tower for more side bite. I also use a front shock tower on the rear, just drill 4 new holes for the wing mounts.
That lowers the center of gravity, gives more rear down travel, and makes the air flow to the rear wing unobstructed for more down force.

Also, the ER-14 now comes with emulsion style shock caps.

NEW OPTION- ALUMINUM STEERING BLOCKS

The newest option comes out!

The new aluminum steering blocks are machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum in order to increase durability and steering response. Laser-engraved with the L/R symbol is for quick and easy identification. Both right and left steering blocks are included as option for the Intech ER-14.

Get these options: flat shock bladders, xray 1 dot rear springs, orange diff o-rings, front tower, optional FF toe block, 3x1.2mm tapered pistons, and alum servo saver arm.

Do you have part numbers for the flat shock bladders, orange o-rings and tapered pistons?

I ran ER14 and came 6th place at a local race last weekend.
I used a hobbywing ezrun power system but its bit under powered.
What do you usually recommend as a power system for this buggy for racing?
Any input is appreciated.

I use a Trinity 6.5t for open and a 13.5T for stock.
19t pinion for open and a 26t for stock. I also use a motor fan in both to keep the temps down.

I use the same as the factory setup.
I think I have to change a powerful motor for it.

Got the chance to run my er14 last weekend on a carpet track in southern illinois. Fastest lap of the day, .3 faster than most the other cars. They car was easily adjusted for the carpet.
