I would just like to say the Darrin over at Vendetta hobbies is the bomb to work with.
ive gotten most of my PR stuff from him, amd he stands by everything he sells and will make sure you are taken care of and treated right.

i used to loathe paying shipping on anything, especially with all the places that offer free shipping.
then i started a business and had to learn about business and the econimics of a successful business, and shipping costs are a killer to places that arent amazon and the like, and with RC stuff, there is such little markup that free shipping will ruin a business. So i had to re-evaluate, and decided i can pay for shipping to a guy that has answered every email ive sent within minutes if i send at a reasonable time of day, and thst ships same day or next day depending on time.

its also a chance for me to support the mom and pop shops that everyone says we need to support. I dont have a brick and mortar hobby shop here in town, so im fine paying shipping.
matter of fact, ive had more late deliveries from the companies that give free shipping than when i pay for shipping, so ma y ti es its a moot point for me, and i order enough spares to make it worth it.

+1 for Darrin at vendetta. Email him, he will take care of ya, and is post sales support is top notch

Found me a nice barely used Type-R buggy! I just got my rear drive shaft in along with a gear diff rather than the slipper it came with. I picked up a new diff without realizing the rear drive shafts are different lengths dependent on wether running the slipper or the gear diff, put a slight delay in the project...I should have saw that since I have the truggy! Doh! I also updated the steering components.

Now just need to paint up a body.

So finally got all of my electronics hooked up over the weekend and then threw the body on only to discover since swapping over to an aluminum servo horn (that was longer) it now rubs the underside. So my question is what horns do you guys use other than the stock plastic ones?

Shortest one I had was the Flashpoint. Barley rubs.

the exotek one for the Losi 22 works but you have to rethread the hole for the ball stud with a 3mm tap
i think the stock horn measures 15mm long, I think associated makes an aluminum one as well

To be honest the stock PR servo horns are stout! It's very rare to see one strip. Usually only happens when the servo mounting screw backs out some. But how short they are give them great duarability but also not very many aftermarket options. The losi 22 "shorty" horn is probably the closest to size but beside the ball stud mounting hole size, the servo arm "offset" is slightly different than the PRs straight up and down design. The the ball stud will need to be shimed some to get a straight servo link. Not huge deal.... But I've been driving PRs for almost 3 and half years, with every single model they make and have never once stripped or broke a servo horn....not saying it wont happen just very very rare and probably a spectacular hit to watch actually happen lol.

Thanks for posting. You may look into this one instead. It's 3mm threaded and 15mm style;

Heads up that many of the dealers will soon start carrying updated "spring clips"

This is a big deal for me, because I use thread lock on the center CVD's and have to remove the clips every time I do maintenance in order to "hammer out" the internal diff pinion once the center shaft is removed from the CVD assembly... typically the thread lock still holds the parts in place even after I remove the set screw and it requires a few light taps to get it to pop free.

I have actually been using the ER-14 spring clips and they are a direct fit for those who need an alternative option.
