I've got a cheap PR401 type R for my son who has just started racing and he has busted a front arm, just wondered if any other brands of front arms fit the car? Supply seems patchy in the UK

I don’t think I’ve seen anything about other brands fitting. I’ve been running the SB401R for bit over 6 months. Got two sources for parts in the US.

Picked the 2022 version SB401-R up from Ausrab Industries in Australia after seeing Mark Lim's youtube unboxing vid. Seriously amazing how many options are included out of the box in this kit.. I've got to assume it's an attempt to make up for their weaker availability but it's what sold me on the PR.
Question - the 2022 version only has 100% plastic lock nuts for the top shock mounts (step E2). This is new to me. Why would this be?
Previous version seems like it had both conventional metal or plastic options, and given that they're giving you metal/plastic options for stuff like hubs I don't see them suddenly cheaping out on four extra locknuts.
My best guess was it's intended to be a sacrificial part in a crash? Seems a bit extreme for weight saving...
PS. For anyone who wasn't aware, 2022 version includes both centre diff & centre slipper clutch.. so that complaint seems to have been fully addressed now.

Maybe the lock nuts are there to stop them coming off but a nyloc would do the same but tbh its a small thing and the car is pretty awesome, I am loving our 401type r, really good spec out the box and up there with the other big brands

As for the plastic nuts, I suppose it's just a design decision. I've seen factory kits over the useYears use both plastic and metal locknuts. Both work, I've preferred plastic ones when the shock caps are metal but PR uses plastic shock caps so it's not that relevant in this case.

The slipper and diff inclusion is really great value.
