Xray XB8E thread
#1130
I am looking to buy a xb8e'16 for bashing around. I already own a xb2 for racing and I really like that car. It is one of the most durable I own so far.
I know that the xb8e isn't made for bashing, but I prefer a quality and durable car for bashing. I can get easy access to spare parts.
I would run it with a Hobbywing ezrun max8 esc with 2200kv motor.
What do you guys think? The reason I do not bash with my xb2, is because this car is to small.

i got my car up to 2017 specs.. and its a much better car than before.. i highly suggest it.. the front trailing hubs, front steering plates, rear end parts.. i would do all those.. then the diffs.. i noticed least improvement from the diffs.. however.. the ballooning front was eliminated..

2015 Xb8e - Input please
Hay guys,
I have the chance to get a new 2015 Xb8E in the box. Is this still a good buggy?? Just sold a losi 8ight E 4.0 before I had a chance to run it. Was looking for a good used 2016 Xb8E but cant find one. Your guys thoughts???
Thanks

2015 vs 2016
I Hear that 2015 was better for indoors than outdoors.Xray is a good buggy no matter what but with a older buggy see if you can find some set-ups for it. I know the newer rear shocks will help on landing.

If you're an experienced driver and you found a good deal, that is still an excellent platform. However most xray drivers I met tend to switch to the newest model, hence support for older models decays quickly as well as the chit chat on the forums. No problem instead for parts support.

Hi guys! I am thinking about weight balance of my XB8 2016 and less rear traction and I have one question for you... What is your orientation of plastic battery plate? First battery and then ESC or opposite direction?
In my case, I have first battery-ESC.. My car suffers less rear traction and hits to chassis in the front. I know, I can do a lot of chassis settings changes...BUT..
Our best driver on the track has opposite setup - first ESC and then battery as well as Ty Tessman.. So maybe I could lighten the front and achieve better rear traction only with one change!
Does it make a sense? What do you prefer?
