That's cool. We miss him down here. Always a good time racing with Kozo.

Seems like they would be pretty good. I know the standard size ones on my b5m bent but i would assume the thicker material should be pretty durable.

Default axles?

Just curious on any advantages/disadvantages on the JC knurl tip axles and aluminum hex's vs the lunsford axles with built in hex's?

From what I know it is just an advantage of changing the width of your vehicle through different size hex's, as opposed to having one set width with the solid piece axle.

Default 3 gear or 4 gear

So are most people building these up like the B5 factory lite and using a 3 gear transmission, particularly when running 13.5 or 17.5?

Thanks. Thought the 1 piece axle(lunsford) would be lighter than the knurl tip w/hex, but didn't think about having the option of different widths. That's why I asked

The three gear upgrade for me was a huge difference in feel, and with lower powered motors it's pretty vital. The MIP case is even better with it's thermal advantages.

I will say I don't plan on touching my width so I went with Lunsford hex, and had to do some minor shimming for a tight feel.

Looking for honest opinions, I am going to buy a new T5M or a 22T and cant decide between the 2 my only concern on the T5M is the plastic front kick up where the TLR truck has a one piece chassis with the kick up. And my concern here is that I have seen guys break the front kick up on the B5M is this the same issue on this or does the larger tires help protect the front kick up from this impact breakage.

I have never seen anyone break the front of a B5 or T5. That must have been some really hard hits.

Nobody but you can tell you what to get and I would suggest trying to drive someone elses trucks to see what you like better. The TLR is nice because you get a mid or rear option, but to me that is a waste because I dont want a rear motor. IMHO Associated vehicles are easier to drive and tune, as well as easier to drive fast especially if the set up is just a little off. If the set up is a little off on a TLR the car will suck, but if you get it right they are great cars. Everybody I have seen that bought a 22T 2.0 has not been overly thrilled with it.
