I don't see why everyone wants to run a laydown when the truck already has a ridiculous amounts of steering already i ended up going to 26 and 25 height front and rear, it made a huge difference in sidebite and cornering! I am so much happier. I think i was running a ride height of 30-28 before.

In my case, wanting a laydown because I run primarily on carpet. I want the lowest center of gravity I can get. And the nearby indoor clay track has good grip so with proper tires I don't think the laydown will hurt it. I always have the standard transmission cases for that...as a matter of fact I'll just have 2 complete transmissions ready whenever I hit the track.

Center of gravity needs to be lower on carpet.

I ran the laydown transmission on my truck on indoor clay this past weekend (OCRC raceway). It definitely makes the truck stay flatter. Without any other changes to the setup I noticed a lot more steering. I didn't lose as much rear traction as I thought I would so I was pretty happy with that. I am going to drill the third hole in the front arms and see if that calms the aggressive steering. Overall though I was pretty happy on the initial outing.

i was running the 3gear upright at extreme yesterday ..... dont think the 3gear laydown is going to make that big of a difference because of the width of the truck, tires and the roll center and slip angle never hurts to try but the 25deg brass bulkhead was really good ....plus the new truck should be right around the corner
Give me a "6" series truck with laydown and a gear diff and TAKE MY MONEY!

And I don't have any issues with a stand up transmission where i race, just want something different. I have just about every other upgrade I want on the T5M already.

There's more than just that, you'll need a complete gt2 tranny, linkage, chassis brace, motor mounts. GT tank and throttle servo mounts. There's some hand fitting that needs to be done. Nothing that can't be done with a dremel easily.
