Ok front got 3mm shim under ball stud on bulk head and rear the same 3mm under bulkhead.

Shocks front 3 hole conical 300wt oil and blue spring and rear 3 hole conical drilled to 1.6mm and 300 wt oil.

For the next meeting I've upped the anti squat to 3 degrees and in the front shocks I've drilled one of the holes to 1.6mm the car feels somewhere near. I will be fitting the rear roll bar kit and brass front bulkhead when they arrive.

I got mine used and ran it truly for the first time today. Wow! Great car very easy to drive fast. My B4.2 was to twitchy and my 22 was a bit to lazy. This car was right in the middle and very easy to run.

Thanks Erik for the setup tips!

Just sent my setup to petit. We have a lot of the teardrop corners and high speed sweeping corners and felt my car felt really good. so it should be up soon. I took washers out of the rear, it was really good for point to point with 3mm. I really liked the blue springs and red fronts, car felt very balanced. Also tried a shorty and the car almost felt too light. but I didn't have weight anywhere so I think it could work but might need the rear weight.

Me and schreffler worked on a set up today. We should have something good within a week or so.

Good to hear. I got to work on mine a little today but the track conditions were not like they usually are. It was low bite with quite a bit of fluff do to 2 days of rain right before. I can definitely tell this buggy is gonna be killer from the little bit I ran it today.

Every change made was noticeable. The end of the day the car was faster than when started but for the final I opted to try mini pin tyres (was using spikes all through qualifying) this for me was the wrong call as I preferred the car on spikes.

Overall quite happy with the spyder and feel will be a good car. Next week will be worksop indoor so will see how the car goes on a faster track with more grip.
The car looked really good John, look forward to see how it runs at worksop next weekend. I know a mate of mine liked it and was going to go pick one up.
You said you needed the brass front bulkhead for more front end. I don't know what spring rate you were running at front, but I've just gone much lighter (AE white) in my front spring and less front weight and the car (bmax2mr) turns in much better on and off power.

Can someone measure the size of the esc/rx tray in front of the battery tray?

Thanks for that, what rear springs did you use? and is everything else kit setup?
Shorty or saddle?

The biggest change was the rear diff height. Try running it in the high position. It increased rear traction a lot without losing too much steering.

Hello guys, I am looking at seriously purchasing a new Serpent buggy. I have ran for about 12 months and currently have a B4.2 and run stock. I run in So cal so IERC is my home track (indoor clay) and I go to OCRC and SDRC ( all indoor clay with great traction).

Should I look at purchasing the MM or RM? Are there mandatory hop ups that need to be purchased for these cars if so what parts? Obviously the parts wont be stocked at my local hobby store so where do you all recommend purchasing parts from? Sorry for all the questions it's just I know very little about this car and I know not a single person who runs one. I have heard great things and would like to test different cars to get a feel of what works for me. I hope I'm in the correct thread.

Thanks for the feedback!
