I broke the chassis at the front. Where is the best place to pick one up from?
#2312
I also wanted to know what is involved converting this to HY

Chassis or Hybrid?
I can look up the numbers and send them to you.
Or I have the original chassis I will box up and send to your for 15.00.

Man I wish I had seen your offer earlier. I picked one up from AMAIN. It is definitely thicker in the front. So now I have my buggy squared away. Transferring every thing over went really smooth.

I found some shorter springs for the rear, so I could lower the height for carpet racing. I hate having a vehicle that keeps begging to go racing, arghh!

How do I mount Pro Line Primes on the front wheels, or should I get another brand of wheels to make it work? and what brand?

I wanted to have some fun, so I put a 9.5 in the car and stuck a 25 pinion on it, wow! It almost destroyed my wing doing back flips!! I mean it is fast! Definitely plan on racing this one. I also have a square in it as well.

I am running a 9.5 and want to know what would be best for a medium size indoor track. I am using a 25 but it seems to be too much, or is it okay?

I sheared the lay shaft gear. Lucked out and got the last two from Amain. I guess the aluminum ones are in my future. I set the car up for carpet and ran it on clay, no, no, no. That was a bad idea, as in no rear traction.

The rear end is sliding all over the place on mine. Is there a trick to make it stick? Clay, high bite, indoor.

Hey guys anyone running on Carpet/Astro Billy Easton posted an amazing Carpet Set Up Under the track Beachline Raceway from a couple months ago. After a few year break and came back my local track was now Astro Turf and tried using European Astro set ups, my own, local guys and it just wasn't working. Billy came, and he figured it out. I was so wrong on a lot of items. That set up Billy posted is THE BEST starting out Astro/carpet set up out I swear. I've recommended it to many drivers and they allll love it.
I had to take a break due to some surgery on my hand but I'm slowly coming back, and today picked up a carbon fiber Chassis, and WOW, already had a LW Aluminum, but that carbon Chassis is sooo light. I've noticed weight displacement is a little more crucial due to dropping almost 40g+ It was 1466g. What I plan on doing is add aluminum rear Hubs, put my ESC Fan Back On, Perhaps Run plastic shock towers (they're heavier than the carbon fiber ones), aluminum shock body bottoms, aluminum steering rack arms. That should help spread the weight out since I already have the brass bulkhead etc.
Here are somethings we're trying and some like and don't like on the Astro:
NO Rear Sway Bar, 2nd to 3rd thickest front sway bar, no front wings upper or lower, #1 Ackerman plate w/ 1mm bump steer washer, as the weather gets cooler I drop the shock weight 2.5wt. RUN shock limiters, personally I run 4mm front and rear, thinking about going to 3mm in the rear.
The buggy is amazing on the Astro/carpet especially starting with Billy's set up, if your tune doesn't work just go back and start over. My steering hand has 40% bad nerves and almost the same on the left and I can still drive my buggy very well, I make silly mistakes at times.
Just my two cents, working for larger hobby shops I've driven, built etc over 100 kits, and the Serpent products blow my mind. The MH and Team MH kit comes with legit NSK Japanese bearings, says NSK on the side and last for ever, no bearing kit needed. The Gear Diff never leaks, same with the shocks, assembles perfectly, and the gear diff machined gears Last and last.
I haven't been on a normal dirt track with it but I've heard it's even better!
I'm working on a SRX4 Project right now...

I did real well yesterday @ Radioactive raceway. Went 1,2,4,and 2 in the main. Those Octagons really helped out.

I have a chance to get one of these at really nice price. My son wants a buggy. Are parts still available for these? How durable are they? He doesn't wrexk alot but curious. Im just looking for something he can continue to learn on for a few years with a 17.5 in it.
