Very fun car. For me personally the new exotek center diff mount is going to be a sure thing here to pick up. with that mount and how I have my chassis protectors done, I shoudn't need to do normal setup changes and remove the protector to get to the diffs.

What do you guys use to clean out your diffs when using heavier fluids?

Interesting! I might have to give that a try. I just let gravity and time do all the hard work. So this would be a nice trick to speed up a rebuilt.

Well said, I do same thing. I've had my d413 for over 2 years and still love it. Can't see any reason to change brands. 😀

What would you guys recommend as a starting loose track bumpy dirt setup assuming exotek chassis? Tires would be something like a Goosebump to give an idea of conditions.

I am thinking something like this as a base with some mods:

Default Bodies

Getting my "new to me" D413 ready. Need a new body, and am curious if there are any aftermarket options other than ProLine or J Concepts.

Default Rear tires

Are they and different from the rears on a 2wd?
If so does anyone use one for both?

Rears are the same Fronts are wider and the wheel is also a different offset for the 4wd buggy.

Trying out some thicker sway bars for some carpet racing. 1.8mm sway bars on the front and rear.

Sway bar size and angles match up pretty closely but did require some modifications for a functional fit. Only some light shaving on the diff case/shock tower legs to accommodate the slight difference. Hopefully is an improvement on the thickest HB sway bar of 1.4mm.

Default D413 for sale

I have D413 for sale with extra stuff, if anyone is interested. I would post in the for sale thread, but having trouble uploading pics.

Text me if interested, and I'll send pics.
