@TD
You mentioned 100k for center now, and lower for lower bite.
I'm used to 4wd sc and 8th scale where I go from 5-10 front, 5-10 mid, and 2-5 rear for low to high bite situations. When you say lower, I'm not sure how much you mean.

So, what weights would you start with to tune from for diff weights on low, mid, and high bite across all 3 diffs?

What body will the kit have? How many pieces?

Also where will be the best place to preorder?, I'm in Australia so will probably buy online somewhere as our local hobby shops don't stock HB.

I have multiple diffs pre-built so that I can make changes quickly. For the front I have a 10k and a 15k; center I have a 50k, 100k, and a 300k; rear I have a 5k and a 3k. For the most part I've left the 15k up front, for the center 90% of the time I have the 100k in but on a loose fresh track I put in the 50k, and when I'm feeling lucky about setting the car up to clear a giant quad I'd put in the 300k. The rear has been changing a lot. At the nats Ty ran 10k but it's been getting lower and lower the more we refine the setup. Currently I have 3k in the rear but at the Reedy Race Ty ran 2k.

the kit will come with this body. the body will be in 4 pieces - a nose, a cab, and two sidepods. the cab and sidepods will be bolted together so when you remove the body they come off as one. the nose stays on the car as in some 1/8 buggies.

as for the best place to preorder in Australia, our website shows Hobbies Australia as our distributor. www.hobbiesaustralia.com.au

Thank you, so I'm guessing you would bolt the body together and paint it as 1 and the nose separately ?

you'd paint the components separately. the best way is to first assemble the cab and side pods while they're clear so that you can make sure the holes are aligned correctly. then take them apart for painting then finally reassemble them.

as an alternative ProLine has already made an aftermarket body which consists of 2 pieces - the nose and the main body.

That will be the one I go for, I like the look of that.

I agree!, I wonder will the production kits have side pods/guards or will we have to make our own like Ty has?

Also I wonder how the kit setup will work for low-medium indoor clay?

Are there any pics of the body in pieces?

Why doesn't HPI make them like proline 2 pieces body?

because I wanted to design in an undercut on the side pods similar to the side pods on an F1 car. with the amount of undercut I wanted it can't be extracted from the mold in one piece. the PL body has a slight undercut but not as dramatic as the kit body.
