I run a 20 on a 7.5 so I would think a 22 should be a good starting point...........

Front page says 26/27. I'm running a 7.5 and am starting first run today at 24.
What kind of heat are you getting on 20? I'm worried I might be too high. I was a nitro guy, so electric gearing I'd new to me. Any good links to understand reductions?
Hope I'm not hijacking dirt diggers post!

well i finally got my car back together after my order had been lost for week. I used avid aluminum chassis with 27g in front and added 15g rear. Car looks good and is heavy,I'm liking it. with a 5.5 it should drive nice.

Are you guys adding weight to you mod cars? If so where and how much?

Smoking!! Came off 160 after 3-4 minutes. Still figuring out the car so I wasn't full throttle for most of that.
Dropped to 22, and ran a pack to cut off, off the track at 155-160. (Normal hard driving) So I'm thinking 20/21 with a touch of timing will be tits!!!
Ps witty name thanks for the awesome links. They are saved!

The center hole on the Losi/AE pistons is larger than was is used for the D413.
