i originally ran it with 20 degrees timing on the can and it was fine. I then took all the timing off the can and put 30 degrees of timing in on the esc. I didnt have any practice to check temps though as I changed it right before my race. Thankfully someone sold me a 6.5t motor for a good price and now I dont have to worry about not having enough power to keep up

13.5's have a very limited use in 4wd racing. Small tracks or events that have a 13.5 class, like the Cactus Classic. On most tracks a 8.5 is fine for a club racer. I have a 6.5 in mine and it is a bit hard to drive. I took a rotor from one of my 17.5 motors to calm it down and smooth it out. I noticed the Cav did the same thing to his 44.3 a few months ago.
Will have to pull em and measure up.

Currently our class is open, we're supposed to be going stock which is why I bought the 17.5 for the TC but thus far hasn't happened so I've been running against guy's with 9.5 all the way down to 5.5.
The 6.5 is in the 413 but the track is a lil low grip (carpet) and I am pretty green with the buggy so it's a handful. Worth a try anyway, better than buying two new motors.
If the TC class ever goes stock I'll worry bout it then.
Also wondering if the Stock rotor is built to handle same rpm as a mod one. Maybe better ask ORCA first.

I can not believe how poor of support this car has for as popular as it is. Ordered one beginning of January might be in mid February. Same with some of the spares that were back ordered. Not gonna be happy if I am stuck for two months waiting for a $5 part. Ordered what I think may break just incase.
