Hot Bodies D413 1/10 4WD Buggy
#7006
It's great to see that there is another D413 in Canada, unfortunately the setup in the manual is pretty old, at the time that setup was used we had only about a month on the car and we were still learning. By the description of the track I would start with my Gunsmoke setup on my website. As far as the AE shock springs go, I'm not sure why so many people like to use the AE springs, Torrance worked very hard at making the HB springs super consistent with very small weight increments between each spring to so you can basically get your car dialed in in any way you want. I would strongly suggest giving them a try, before we had the HB springs we used Kyosho springs but found the HB springs more consistent with a better feel on the track.
Other than reports of durability and good manners another reason I choose the 413 is it's run by a Canadian Pro driver.
Go Ty Woot!
Should have this thing o the carpet next week some time.

Is the 2wd in the above pic an HB prototype? If not what is it, looks like a lot of HB hardware on it.

Anybody know about the Gullwing rear arms? On the c rear tower option it says for use with Gullwing rear arms. Is it a mistake or a future option part? Or am I just not seeing the gull in the stock arms. Or if anybody can tell me how much lower the c tower is in relation to the stock.

So the Gullwing they are referring to the hub height not a lower shock mounting location? Any idea how much lower the c tower is?

I don't. Less then distance between upper and lower holes....due to geometry of where on the arm the now lowered shock end attaches. Thus putting the out hinge pin that much lower.

Looks like a Kyosho RB6 with CF towers, HB ball cups and shocks, and a custom chassis. I know X-Factory makes a CF chassis for the RB6 [edit: I'm wrong. The X-factory CF chassis is for the B5M] but I don't think that's it.
