As far as the AE shock springs go, I'm not sure why so many people like to use the AE springs, Torrance worked very hard at making the HB springs super consistent with very small weight increments between each spring to so you can basically get your car dialed in in any way you want. I would strongly suggest giving them a try, before we had the HB springs we used Kyosho springs but found the HB springs more consistent with a better feel on the track.
Make that 3, still building mine but impressed so far.
Other than reports of durability and good manners another reason I choose the 413 is it's run by a Canadian Pro driver.
Go Ty Woot!

Should have this thing o the carpet next week some time.

Is the 2wd in the above pic an HB prototype? If not what is it, looks like a lot of HB hardware on it.

Anybody know about the Gullwing rear arms? On the c rear tower option it says for use with Gullwing rear arms. Is it a mistake or a future option part? Or am I just not seeing the gull in the stock arms. Or if anybody can tell me how much lower the c tower is in relation to the stock.

C tower is used when using the "2nd/bottom" hole on the rear hub. It changes your droop, the c tower lowers your shocks to give back the lost droop....at least that is how I understood Ty's comments here.

(Normal arms)

So the Gullwing they are referring to the hub height not a lower shock mounting location? Any idea how much lower the c tower is?

I don't. Less then distance between upper and lower holes....due to geometry of where on the arm the now lowered shock end attaches. Thus putting the out hinge pin that much lower.

Looks like a Kyosho RB6 with CF towers, HB ball cups and shocks, and a custom chassis. I know X-Factory makes a CF chassis for the RB6 [edit: I'm wrong. The X-factory CF chassis is for the B5M] but I don't think that's it.

Are we talking about Ty's 2WD? You're half way there. Last time I saw a picture of it, it was RB6 front end paired with a Centro rear end. Chassis was ofc custom.

Shortys are fine, just make sure you get like a 4000 or better. I have a 7.5T motor, 4200 and run 3mins of warmups and 7min Mains and still plenty left over.
