I remember Deguzman posting a couple months or so ago, a final drive comparison chart for different brands of buggies. The D413 has the lowest gear ratio. This might be the difference your noticing.

If your buggy is twitchy, going to carbon inserts should make it worse.

Here's a pic of a 22t Robinson Racing Absolute steel pinion I took during the build. Fits great. No dremeling or filling needed.

I believe they might be referring to these. The kit comes with a #4, but #3 (aggressive) , and #5 (mellow) are optional.

Has anyone figured out a standard shock setup to start with as a good base? There is a local d413 that is struggling with the shock setup and I'd like to help him out? He was running one of Ty's setups and it just wasn't right for out track ( some big jumps, high bites and a little bumpy is spots) his car bottomed out too easily and was unstabke. He was running something like 45/4wt oil. We tried 1.6/1.7, 1.3/1.4, 1.4/1.5..... thanks.

1.3/3-hole all around with 37.5/30wt Losi in emulsion with the stock springs. Go up one stiffness in the front with AE B5 Blue springs to tame it down a little more.
