I just saw a new shorty battery / chassis thread. Hopefully that discussion will move there instead. Then this thread can get back on track.

Maybe a mod can come by and clean this one up.

Great looking car. Will look good next to my d812. Love all the adjustability HB is building into these cars. Keep up the good work Torrance. Looking forward to more info as it rolls out

that's kinda part of the plan - to be able to mix and match different cabs with different sidepods. it started with me and Hara having different styling preferences - he likes the boxy high-forehead looks of the J-Concepts Punisher/Finnisher; i like the fighter jet cockpit look of the Tamiya Avante. for initial production i went with a look that's somewhat sleek and conservative but not too polarizing. who knows if we'll get to make alternate body sections because that sits on the lower end of priorities of things to do but i think it'd fun and interesting.
Well, I hope that you guys can get the body ideas rolling as soon as you can. I think that'll be one of the option(s) that some will be wanting.

The whole "battery" issue was over and done quickly last Sunday. Lets all wait and see what the car actually looks like.

I have been impressed with HPI/HB quality from owning a Pro2 road car and Cyber buggy, so I'm looking forward to the finished product.

Any hint at all of a 2wd buggy ?

Well no more Hara, so only one that can win a worlds with this car currently is Ty. Unless there is a surprise driver for the worlds.

Ty was going to be the only one that could win it for HB anyways. Ty will out wheel Hara in most classes (besides On-road), especially in 1/10 4wd buggy. Hara is fast, but Ty is more controlled and consistent. IMO Ty is on a whole different level

the recent news of hara and rumors of hpi/hb money woes explains why the HB tent at the roar nats was occupied by a couple of people. and tessman running the b44.1 at the pre-worlds. this buggy could be a shot in the arm for hot bodies. would hate to see the company tank. especially with the worlds coming.

will give this a try when it's released. Sold my zx-5 fs2 sp. Got bored by the unresponsive steering and understeer.
