Also just checked with tower hobbies and they have no more kits in stock, so people that did not already get a status change on their invoice or a shipment alert, it's not coming until next shipment that comes in.
A main hobbies has bumped their ETA til may 9th and that could change again.
And again superior hobbies shows 4 in stock, but I called and they don't have them in stock.

For all the Canadians out there. I contacted Great Hobbies because they now have the kit listed on their website. They will not be getting any until the end of may

who wants it now.
i know the price will drop but at $429 every where else to me is a fair deal.
i'll wait.
i purchased the MS-1 from Advantage some time ago for $170+ and 2 weeks later it's going for $140, go figure, i could see maybe a couple months go by.
any ways i hope that the ones that ordered the D413 get them fulfilled before end of May.
i am wondering what the peeps at HPI are thinkn' ?

Looks like Great Planes has now been telling shops (3 that I frequently talk with at least) they won't be getting the kit for a while or any of their initial order. Way to screw up the launch of a vehicle and screw over local shops after becoming the sole US distributor. Yet another reason why I hate Tower. Who is the Canadian distributor? If not GP I can probably pick it up that way in the future and support somebody else. Otherwise the distributor may have just cost you a sale.
That seems to be one of the issues right now,
The local shop by me has had three on back order since they first hit the GP site, though you just had to know exactly what the GP stock number was to find it. Another whole separate issue there. The local shop got nada, zip, zilch, yet Tower was shipping them. Crazy. I know a few racers that aren't happy, along with a shop owner. He had the same issues with the AE reissue kits of the RC10 they did.

Hobbico/Great Planes and even Horizon have a sort of monopoly where shops have to deal with them because they have exclusive lines. If it wouldn't be for these exclusive lines I'm sure shops would prefer buying from a distributor who isn't competing with the shops. I worked in a shop for 7 years in the early 90s. At that time Hobbico/Great Planes was the exclusive distributor for Futaba. A transmitter/receiver and servo combo would cost the shops 41.00 and Towers was selling the exact same for 39.00 when we would complain the answer we got was to buy them from Towers. Now 20+ years later they are the exclusive distributor for HPI and they prefer to sell the kits direct to make more money than to supply the shops. This is a very poor way of doing business but it's smart and they know they can get away with it. The companies who give these distributors exclusive distributorship of their brands are the ones to blame as they know how they do business.

i can't believe amain doesn't have parts listed yet. i may end up buying the kit and parts from stormer if they show in stock before amain tells me my backorder is in.
