are you going January jam at flowood Mississippi this weekend ?

ronsvsix 01-15-2014 02:28 PM

The body from my dex408t looks like it will fit, but the front body post are right at the lower base of the windshield, the sides are about an inch wider on each side.

No

Tekno, please make a thicker body. A friend of mine put the first few packs through his today and even with reinforcement the body has several cracks after a hand full of minor crashes. I have a feeling these bodies are going to be ruined just as fast as short course shells.

Any chance for option aluminum hub carriers? They seem to wear fast on most kits and I would buy optional metal ones in a hart beat.

Thanks. Luckily, my LHS orders things on Wednesday and gets it all (95% anyway) on Friday and doesn't charge shipping for special orders. So I should have it a day after the kit arrives (assuming no Fedex mishaps). One way or another, it's going on my truggy.

This is a tekno kit. You won't need them.

RavensNightFury 01-15-2014 06:07 PM

Has anyone seen or heard a recommended battery weight. I'm thinking around 600g, I'm just trying to compare 4s to 6s setups.

That all depends on what you are going for. If it is neutral balance, the other components play just as much of a part. Tekno has an article on this.

Then there is the whole light vs heavy debate. Some say vehicle "A" drives better heavy while others say it drives better light. That is also track dependent.

But to semi-answer your question, in that article, they say 450-600g. My batteries are heavier, but so is my servo and speedo. Plus I'm using a 4038 T8 instead of the buggy motor.
