It is a tight squeeze fitting a non-tekin esc in this truggy. The sensor port is tight against the mug guard and the signal lead and switch wires are up against the driveshaft. There isn't room between the motor and servo to turn it 90 degrees.

Managed to get the esc to fit by raising it up 0.3" via spacers between the esc and the esc plate. Will paint the body tonight and try it out tomorrow.

You won’t be disappointed! It’s really amazing for both racing and bashing.

Yep it's an awesome truggy. I don't race, I'm purely a basher and I'm glad I bought the ET48. I had a Kraton for bashing before this, but it's just a big heavy tank imo.
This is an up-market basher for rich people

Yeah there's not much room, looks nice though

I have a spare Leopard 4282 2200kv which I'll see if I can squeeze in. Should be ok with the RX8 as I won;t be using the sensor wire

there is definitely enough room for an 82mm long motor in my truggy, so there should definitely be enough if you are using the more compact RX8

Says in the first post regarding motor size option.

“Easily accommodates ‘Truggy’ or ‘Long’ can motors up to 78mm long”

Do you have a pic by any chance? I’d love to use a longer motor for that extra tourque.

that's good to know. I'm contemplating getting the tekin rx8 so I can fit a larger motor.

what are your opinions on the leopard? Have you or anybody else for that matter used other larger can motors? Thoughts on them?

Hy!
Has anyone tried the Hobbywing XR8 SCT ESC in the ET48.3 truggy?
Some racer suggested me to buy the HW XR8 Plus because the SCT version can easly get overheated...
I would like to use the truggy on 4s with a 1950Kv brushless motor that drains only 115A continious.
The ESC& Motor would be use in sensoress mode.
Thanks for any help and advice!

I have a buddy that burned out his XR* sct esc on his ET48. You gonna have to run Plus on this. I run Tekin so i really cannot speak about the handling on the Hobbywing but a lot of guys around the track run them 2000kv with the plus and it is a great system.
