I think I found a number which is 137mm.

Tekno has 3 different lengths of shocks, the shortest is used as a front on the SCT/SL and original EB. The medium is used for the front of the truggy/EB48.3 and rear of the SCT/SL and original EB. The Long is used for the back of the truggy and the EB48.3. Tekno marks them all in mm lengths, so the 137 is the truggy rear.

I've heard that kyosho universals will work in this truggy. Anyone have a part number and can confirm they work? Really wanna use them for my rough local track. Wonder why Tekno hasn't made them yet?

Only for the Tekno buggy. I bought some Kyosho truggy universals and they're about a centimeter short. I haven't found truggy unis that will fit the Tekno.

But... I have found that the Associated unis for the RC8b3 are a perfect fit for the EB48. No need to switch the hexes (Kyosho unis require you to use Kyosho hexes due to the different pin size).

Why not just get the Tekno Universals for the tekno buggy?

because the Buggy ones will be way too short. Much longer arms on the truggy.

The Kyoshos and Associated unis can be purchased cheap on eBay or Dollarhobbyz. And I've seen a few sets of Teko shafts fail (pins pop out). Haven't seen that with Kyosho or Associated.

Have A 48.3 I need a quality servo for. I search and find stuff all the way back to 2013. It's 2016.
Want suggestions on new servos that are a value.
Have money. No need to waste it though. Was racing sc trucks but no exp with Truggy stuff. Any help is appreciated.

I use a Hitec HS-7954SH been using in my EB48.3 and ET48 for over a year, reasonable price and no need to use a extension to reach receiver.

I recently installed a new RX8 Gen2 1350kv sensored setup in my ET48(17T pinion), replacing the RX8 Gen2 TP Powers 1090kv sensorless setup I had. I had few issues, after binding & calibrating(w/o pinion installed), I went to run it & it went WOT for no reason. I re-calibrated the ESC & it seemed to be ok. It sounds odd, @ 1/4 throttle & above it makes a strange noise (compared to the previous setup), it's like a crackling/screech. Any ideas?
I have sense adjusted the RX8, putting it at 0deg timing, turned off the current limiter, & changed to a 18T pinion. I got a full run in, the noise is less noticeable now only ~1/3-1/2 throttle. It still feels under geared. Some of my temps were high: motor 189, batt 140, cd 133, & esc 110(outside temp ~75 & humid, batt SMC 6s 60c 3600mah). Am I over or under geared?
Edit: I went up to a 21T pinion & didn't get a full run, my cheap servo may have fried. It didn't help my temps motor 205, batt 135, esc 130.

I swapped the Tekin for a MMX & Neewer 1550 (& Hitec 7950TH) 16T pinion & still was getting over 180deg at the motor. I removed the dust cover, & now I'm down to 150-165deg after a few runs, hard to believe the dust cover was holding that much heat.

For those that also have the EB48.3 & SCT410.3, do you enjoy them as much as the ET48(.3)?

I love all my Tekno vehicles, but the ET48.3 is definitely my favorite. Just so plush of a ride with the huge tires for large contact patch traction as long as you don't just balloon them all into pizza cutters. :)

I've been quite happy with my Protek PTK 170s, which I also run in my EB48.3. Prior to that I had the PTK 150T in there which was also great in the EB, but when I went to .07 in my SCT I decided when building the truggy I'd just go with the .07 in them all to keep things consistent.

I've been thinking about another ET48(.3), but also thinking about trying something different(EB or SCT). A 2nd ET48 would have different electronics.
I'm guessing an EB48.3 or SCT410.3 wont like grass as much as the ET48.
