Apparently Tekno dosent mind selling us a 30$ body every 4 runs. I own 2 HPI Baja 5T 1/5th scale trucks and have never had to replace them after a couple years bashing on them. Just so you know they weigh close to 30 pounds.

Ask me if me a thicker pull would last longer. I will have to tell you how stupid you are if you think a thicker one would not last longer.

I just did. Seriously!

I have to say that as much as I love this truggy, the body really is a huge weak point - the fact that is falls apart combined with the fact that you can't find one from another manufacturer is a real disadvantage to the ET48.

Maybe the reason why the weak body stands out so much is because the rest of the truggy is so great!

yeah, I could see that too.

Heck I have a new body sitting here that I have been refusing to paint till I see more from Tekno on this. I'll just keep using my ductape body lol.

and if the price you are quoting is right, I don't see $30 in a body here at all. would expect it to be much thicker, this is a truggy after all.

I was asked not to tell who, but voices in the wind have told me that there is a body maker that is working on a body for us. I have no specifics and was only told that one was being worked on.
I will honor my agreement to not say who, but I am sure if you guys want to email various body manufactures and ask questions, they will tell you too. I am nobody, but I emailed and asked about a body and they freely told me about it but asked not to make it public.
Thanks and just wait, there should be something soon.

Default Fitting a HW 150A esc and motor to ET48

Folks,

Anyone have what they feel is a good fit and location for esc and motor from Hobbywing to a ET48? I have mine fitted but things are really close. Did some modding to the esc bottom cover to get the wires where I needed them.

I have not run it yet but I have some concerns about the heat from motor and esc causing some issues.

Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Perhaps Leadfinger RC? They just made a new body for the EB48.

Although I love my truggies, I think most companies think they are a dieing trend which is why we do not get much support from the aftermarket. It's a small market probably for them.

The weight of the plaster wants to make the body bow out, just so you know ahead of time lol

Thanks for the tip! I ran into the same issue when I tried making a mold for my e-buggy.. How many bags did you have to use??

I buy it in 25# bags from Menards for like $11. I mixed up approx. 30 cups of plaster & 15 cups water and had enough left over to do a 1/10 wing.
I may try again because the sides still ended up bowing. I am thinking of getting some Styrofoam to take up volume so its not so heavy and doesn't take as much plaster. but I need to get a new body since that one wasn't mine and I gave it back already.
