so what every one running in there truggy for a large out door track in diffs

I've been thinking about extending the wires on my switch so I can mount it somewhere reachable with the body on but less likely to be hit by anything during a race.

I've had good luck in all my teknos putting it on the tray in between those verticle groves on the tray right between the motor and ESC. That combined with using Velcro to keep the body on prevents anything from getting up in there, just have to make sure your wires don't flop around and get caught on it.

If your really paranoid you can do the same thing, but mount the switch low enough so the top of the switch is flush with the tray vs. the base so you would really have to reach in there to flip it.

All that said, I would really like to see some innovations to make swapping out the battery faster, which would have the side effect of not needing a switch for a fast turn on. I really enjoy running the 20min mains with the nitros, i'm pretty good at strategy and driving patiently so I do better in the longer races vs. just being full throttle - full break without concern of running out of battery / fuel.

I've long thought that with the bullet batteries one could simply make a clip in system, with the male bullets sticking up out of the tray. I would've experimented with this but I no longer have an 8th scale track nearby running nitro races to take part in. I too love the planning of pitting and not driving all out every corner to change when you need to come in.

So far i've been running with 20mi mains and can make it on one set of 2x SMC 7200's, but do a 5s mock pit stop to be fair since the nitro guys driving for fuel economy are doing one pitstop.

It's kind of funny all the fuss and pitman, "down and quite" etc. nitro guys go through when I just roll up to my spot on the grid and go on the horn.

I had to go look and see what grooves you're talking about. Can you get to the switch pretty well with the body on? Does it make it harder to remove the motor?

you can get to the switch fine in that location. the motor does not fit out past it, but I just remove the electronics tray quick whenever i need to pull the motor.

I use exactly the same battery combo with 2 warm up laps and an easy 20min final.

his et48 is too tail happy when he was raceing his et48 with 20/20/10
every time he pull the trigger out the corner he would wheel spin out what would yours have run in a large track size with blue grave and hard pack clay but dusty and losy track

run 7/10/5 or 10/10/5 and if still a little loose, move rear outer hinge pin to inner hole.

so go down 10/10/5 first or try the other one

I am currently on 10/10/5 and ran a really loose track this weekend without many problems.
