Hey, I'm looking to get an E-3.0 buggy. A local shop has recommended this motor TenShock 6 pole sensored X812L 2450kv or 2850kv. I've never heard of TenShock before. Anyone here have any experience with it?

The X812L you mentioned is a Truggy motor, wouldn't recommend it for buggy.

ok so it is a football field. well alright then. lol that track is awesome man lol. but i still feel you will be better off with a 1900-2100 kv motor. the 2400+ stuff is just obnoxious. i cant tell you how many people bought a massive motor only to realize its over powered and actually hurting them. just my two sense. up to you. awesome video!
heres my track with a 1950kv motor. im the front car tlr e3.0

I can attest to the 2450 being waaaay to hard on the car. pinions only lasted 2 race days... jumps were easier to make with a 1900.

I agree that motor's KV is way too high. I'm not sure we he would recommend it. Anyway what is the consensus of Tenshock motors? Tekin is not available here. For a place where a lot of RC stuff is made (Taiwan) you be surprised on how hard it is to get this stuff. It's all word of mouth and I know a guy who knows a guy.
I found a guy, a great guy who sells Tenshock and Castle Mamba's and that's it, as far as I know.
Nice driving! My video has more tumbles than a Gymnastics class for nine year-olds.

The only reason they had some for the 2.0 was to offer some other caster options. These parts are not weak by any stretch of the imagination and you do not need them for strength and they add weight and are expensive. The stock 3.0 parts are just fine. As others stated it would be for a bling factor only.
