I haven't broke one of these in a year. Broke 2 right side spindles in the same day landing a jump perfectly normal and snap. Are there any updates to fix this bad mold issue?

Odd. May just be a bad part? Is it cold where you are racing?

Hi tbullard,

I agree that all servos have not the same dimensions, but you can't say "bigger than the servos usually used". I have a servo usually used, a Futaba S9352HV, and dimensions are 41mm x 21mm x 37mm.
I can say it's a little bit hard to place this servo.
And I'm not talking about the servo wires...the way you have to bent them... I drilled the receiver/servo box with a dremel to fix it.
In my opinion, the servo/receiver box is not well designed, many servos are bigger than 40.3mm (because here the problem is the lenght).
But there are many "bizarre" parts on this Losi, the way they are designed is surprising.
Bye !

I run an agama 43t steel spur gear with a 14t pinion. Pretty close to this setup. Brass weight in and battery tray in front of the esc.

Yeah that is not cold enough to cause any issues due to temps. That is just very odd. First one probably stress, second one I would call a bad part if you say you did not hit a wall hard.

I have one of these coming in by Friday .....
A couple questions...
..... What's a recommended top of the line servo??
..... Is the steel spur a direct fit??? Just asking cause on my friends converted 8t he had to do a lil mod in order to use the nitro gear.
...... N lastly....I wanna pimp the sumbich out....Any nice hop hops available for this thing?? I haven't seen too many in my searches..

Thanks

Ya the first one was on the car a year. The 2nd one literally had 30minutes on it. No hard wrecks just landed a triple and it snapped. Same landing that snapped the first one.

-Servo I run a hitec 7945.
-45t is a direct fit. The truggy your buddy probably used a 48t and yes that requires at least 2mm shims under the center uprights.
-essentials: agama 43t steel spur or 44t/45t losi steel gear, aluminum servo saver top, aluminum top plate, aluminum horn, x-ring orings if they do not come with the vehicle.
-nice to have: 8 hole 1.3 pistons(non-tapered), 8 hole splits 1.2/1.4(non-tapered).
Anything else is not needed.

I have a semi related question for you all. I am looking to purchase a new e 3.0. Do I take a chance and wait until after Xmas for any after holiday sales that may come up or just go ahead and take the 10% off that some sites have going right now?

I've got the 2200kv sidewinder and I run a 45t spur with a 13t pinion on a big outdoor track. On a tight indoor track I run an 11t pinion.

Cabledog- I run a 2250kv and use 45/15 and it runs perfect. That's where I would start, keep an eye on temp and adjust accordingly if you need to.
