The holes to mount didn't line up and now that it is installed the steering linkage doesn't sit flat anymore and the servo horn that came with it is junk. So what I am wondering is if anyone else uses this servo, if so what horn are you using? I would love an aluminum one.

Also I am curious what servo and horns you guys are using that fit and work well. If I need to get another one to fit properly I am willing to do so.

Thanks guys.

I went with a KO Propo RSx2 power in my RTR. I didn't even run it with the stock servo, it was very weak. I also put a RX8 Gen 2 1900kv combo in it. It drives exactly like my 8ight-E 3.0 kit. I thought the AVC was gonna be a big advantage on this thing, but I ended up switching to a futaba like the rest of my cars. Besides changing the shock cap to the 3.0 kit caps I'm running it stock. I'm really happy with it. But for all I ended up doing to it I should of just bought the 3.0 kit.

I don't have the 3.0 yet, but I will soon. I've always run a 1900kv and if you gear it right and its running like it should you shouldn't need to vent it. I've had an mp9e tki3 and xb8e. I didn't vent either of those last summer and it gets to 100 degrees here easily. There was only one time where my motor got passed 190 but other than that it was always around 180.

I've never vented the bodies and my motor never break 130 according to my data logs. Running a 1900 Gen 45/16 gearing on a Med sized track. At the Fear Farm in AZ I was up to 165.

I just picked mine up yesterday......
Being that I don't race , where too much motor can be a detriment when navigating around a course, what is the drawback of the castle 2650??
They(castle) say that motor is intended for 1/8 buggy and Castle usually delivers on performance....
What's the drawback??

Edit: servo recommendation would be appreciated also....
Just not a Savox....I heard they don't mix well with Castle internal Bec's....

Trust us, You dont want a 2650 setup, 1900 tekin is all you need. Servos are personal opinion, I dont suggest Savox for instance.

I bought a 3.0e from some basher who had a 2650 Tekin installed.....it was un-usable on the track.....INSANE power....

I took it out and put in a Tekin (indoor) 1900kv....it is still a TON of power...but race-able.
