TLR 8IGHT E 3.0 THREAD
#1606
I am running the spektrum 6100 steering servo. I bought it at IslandRaceway in Lindenhurst. Go the track and see what everyone is using. I mean Island Raceway track in Lindenhurst. Don the owner has alot of eighth scale stuff in the shop now because he is now part owner of the track out east.

I'm glad the car is a big improvement over the 2.0. I just thought it was odd my slopped out 2.0 e-truggy was faster than a brand new gen 3 car. I know this buggy will get better with time tho. Really digging the stability/drivability of the car. After i get all the links free'd up i'll know what i need to change.

I run the Orion 90C 6400 mah batteries, as did the local TLR pro. No issues with reliablity thus far, but I only have about a dozen cycles though them. They are on the heavy side compared to other batteries (not sure of the true weight), but I like a heavy "more planted" car. They are very expensive, though.

A cheaper option i would suggest is the ECO power 4100mah 4S batteries from Amain. They are $54 a piece, weigh 436g, over 12 minutes of run time, makes the car more nimble/straight line quick, and still keeps the stability of a heavier battery/car. The only change i made to the batteries are traxxas plugs but thats just personal preference.
