Most expensive 4x4...yes 2wd no, the kyosho is or I guess was $399 or more, hell the rb6 buggy is more than the losi 2wd sc. You can expect the new kyosho will be well over $400

The Tekno is leaps and bounds better than this thing, for less money.

They should have taken all the old 8ight 2.0s and converted them, reboxed and sold. That would be worth 469. Instead, they blew the 8ights out for 299, and bolted a TLR kit onto a first gen truck and added 100 bucks to the price. You can almost build this truck out of a first gen truck for less than this thing costs. And if you have been running a stock chassis non TLR kit for the last year, you are 230 bucks away from this thing with the truck you already have, or 175 bucks away from an MIP kit that will still crush this thing. But to ditch a first gen truck completely, just to pay 469 for an upgraded version of what you already have... I don't see it happening much.

Not trying to be a hater, just disappointed is all. Good thing all the dudes that waited for this to come out can just buy a Tekno instead....
(((Trolling!!!!!!)))You can go now!!Your excused!!!

ha ha... trolling... right.

The parts about the Tekno might have been a tick inflammatory, but the rest is all true and hard to deny unless you are a fan boy such as yourself. (oops... there I go again with the trolling)

Geez... we should all have similar view points lest we be labeled a troll. derp.

As for cost. What would this truck cost you to put together today?

This truck comes with a TON of hopups already in the box. Talk about race ready. Yeah you pay a little more upfront but lets be honest you would complain if these parts were not added and then you needed to buy them seperate.

So old truck was $300 as a roller and then most would want to upgrade with the TLR tuned kit for another $130 (which was a great deal). We are now up to a $430 truck. Add a chassis upgrade at another $125 and you are up to $550.

Now add this truck gives you all of that and the best of what TLR has to offer right now. Clamping hexes, tini shock shafts and hinge pins, HD outdrives, updated diff cases, Serrated wheel nuts, Racing springs, HA pivot balls as well as updated towers for more tuning.

This is a great deal. Yeah a little more then the old truck but if you really look at all you get and the fact it is truely a kit race truck out of the box the value is apparent.

As casper stated.. this truck is faaaaar cheaper than what my current truck is. my truck now is basically the 2.0, minus the chassis, diff cases.. and battery tray.. and i got waaaaaaaay more than 469 in it..

truck looks great.. i wont get near that for my current truck, to buy the new one.. but.. im thinking.. maybe i can just get new parts.. like chassis.. and, diff cups.. and such..

Great job!

I already run a similar setup and am curious to see how you guys adjust your setups -- so until then I'll sit back and relax and just enjoy the newness of this release!
