I have seen a couple try shorty packs, to get as light as possible and all...there is a fine line where the truck almost gets too light. Maybe in the future but with current tire tech and the power we are putting through them, it might be tough. Although if they are getting that much in a shorty case, its probably as heavy as a standard pack.

Yeah I was mostly thinking for indoor - is it winter yet?! And you're right - shortyss with that much capacity are starting to weigh as much as a similar stick pack. I've always used 6500 and up packs in the scte so the shorties I have are pretty light in comparison.

Outdoor I want the added weight.

Anyway - might be a tuning option to consider. I don't think my Schuur speed 4300 was pulling much more than 3500 mah out per qualifier indoors.

Thanks Joe and Ryan on the battery info. I have no problem buying good batteries. I knew these were hard on batteries. I have some 6400 60C packs now. I'll look at the Venom packs too.

Oh, and a center body mount up front!.. I did this on my 1.0 also. Bodies last waaay longer (no cracked fenders) and it doesn't sound like a bag of scrap lexan hitting the ground landing a jump!!

The rx box actually sits a bit lower than the servo, it just looks high in the pic..
