I hope not, I absolutely LOVE my B4.2 and will be running it for some time, even if/when I decide to get a B5 or B5M...

I'm sticking with my 4.2 for a while longer. I am still finishing in front of the B5's at my track and still knocking down faster single lap times. No reason for me to move yet.

I think most people will be waiting, personally I'll probably hold onto mine for another year...Then I won't be able to resist the temptation.

+1. I am going to get a used Losi, K-car or something else just to try them out. If for some strange reason, the planets come to a mythical alignment, cats and dogs start living in peace and x-mas is moved to June, I may never get one. But on the other hand, if the 5 starts blowing everything out of the water, I may get one sooner than later.

Setting up my b4.2 now. What is a good starting point for gearing? I'm running a medium size track with a schurrspeed 13.5. Current spur is a 78. What's a good pinion to start with? Thanks

20-21, somewhere in there. The manual has recommended gear as well, I always found that to be a good starting. Gearing is pretty track dependent too.

Damn, all my rear ball cups are bent after bashing and jumping on 2 packs of battery. the original rods are still intact though.
Need to buy replacements cups, is Jconcept ones any good?

Also, i broke the short antenna tube, any better ones that can last longer?

RPM or Jconcepts are fine. Jconcepts are my preference.

Just get a new antenna tube and leave it longer -- more to bend ='s less likely to snap or kink.

I would ask this in the Schuurspeed thread! You are likely to get an answer from Ron Schuur himself! (His username is RocketRon I think)

You will love the motor though! I have the 17.5 in my buggy and the 13.5 in my SCT.
