So last night was the first time driving my b4.2. i have seen and heard of it before but i was wondering if there is any cure for the flat spin after landing a jump.We have kinda a roller that you get 8ish inches of air off of and it flat lands, not hard and then a right hander. If i land with wheels straight usually good but if i set up for the turn it just spins out like the tires aren't touching and doing a belly spin. i have drivien a 10.2 for a year now and it will land and corner like it on rails in the same spot. Car feels pretty good everywhere else just pushes or at least compared to my 10.2.

Tell us more about your setup, including tires. Sounds like the chassis is bottoming out.

I forgot my question,
Guys how many of u run the b4.2 with all the electronic in line on the buggy do u guys like this setup or do u all like running the electronics on the sides?
Which way handles better? Cause I am new to using shorty lipos so I put everything in line. So please let me know cause I am kinda unsure about the shelf mounting esc. It seems like the buggy rolls over a lot in turns and stuff. Very quick to react to steering input.

I had the esc on a shelf and went back to it on the side because it was so tight to the body and also after I put the motor centering kit in it was heavy on the right side. Also im liking a shorty half pad back with 30 grams behind battery.

It is pretty common to spin out if you set up for a turn in the air, especially if you have any throttle input in...

The current set up I am running doenst have that issue how ever it is all about how you land if you got he wheels cranked and the gas it will want to do a really odd thing and could flip I am running 1.5 pistons with 45 in front with gray springs and in the rear 1.5 pistons with 42.5 and gray or white springs you may not be able to do this on yoir trsck but I found that 1.5 pistons rearr settled the car it doesnt roll as much also try taking a wider line just by a foot too alloy more rebound time I suppose my ride heigh is 19 front 21 rear and I run the full pack

Your running on carpet right? Some things that work on carpet dont apply to dirt.

green front and rear 27.5/25 m4 suburbs. it might be but with it that stiff on such a little jump i don't know. i have seen others doing it too, seems to be a b4 thing. it lands just fine off a big triple, high speed jump on main stright, and thru a large 5 pack.

predu 11-22-2013 08:52 AM

it might just be a buggy thing. Like i said my 10.2 will go thru that section alot faster

it might be just that, not sure. i can land my 10.2 pin it, turn around the corner and hit the 5 pack with no issues. This car i have to land straight, no gas turn corner and punch it to triple thru the 5 pack. which sadly enough makes my short bus faster than a buggy.

predu 11-22-2013 08:55 AM

both are 17.5

your overloading the rear tires buy turning in the air and landing. why are you over loading them? dampening, tires, driver skill, etc. Try to land the front wheels first or both sets are the same time, rear first on a flat landing is rarely good. You man need to adjust you throttle amount while landing also. this can heal the rear end setup better with a little power, but not a ton. For sure, drag break maybe hurt you in the type of maneuver also. I have a small double that if I over jump and flat land and turn the wheels while landing it it do a 180. in that case, I find its best to downside anyway. you have a single though, so how far the jump is from the corner will mater. its its like 10 feet from the turn, I would NOT long jump and turn into it. I would let up just before the jump to short jump it and then give it a little gas and set the car up for the turn. Maneuvers like this are really very track specific. If the losi's and rb's can do what you can not, you have to understand they are not a b4. They are way more plush to drive and are less edgy. We have a jump that makes all of the b4's jump right side down and require them to whip the wheels to correct in the air. The 22's and rb6's dont have such an issue. I used to think it was just me, but then I noticed even the sponsored guys had it happening.

Try going up 5wt in oil all around. 25 in the rear is pretty thin unless you're on smooth terrain. I'm running 32.5/30 and I still bottom out once in a while.

it seems like you also have larger jumps than just ones you get 1 foot of air off of. But some have suggested the 1.4x3 piston which is suppose to be better than the 1.6 piston, but the kit set up with a full pack is pretty much money outdoors, on a med-low grip

predu 11-22-2013 10:58 AM

sorry indoor track medium at best and shorty pack centered.

i'll give that a try. the setup is a copy of the fast guys setup.needless to say everyone drives different.
