I zapped my smc 4600 70c shorty which was one awesome battery but they are out of stock and I need a battery to race on saturday

Some use chapstick on the idler or replace it. How old is your idler?

Brand new....just noticably louder at low speed than stock:weird:

Yikes!!! all posted on page #666

Too little too late now, but I paint the positive side of my battery and use red shrink tube on the speeder wires to help me when i'm in a hurry between heats or not paying attention on a Sunday during practice.

I got the horn lined up and trimmed and and used calipers to set links, and all that good stuff, my issue is that the max travel is blocked when the arms are in full droop as set per the instructions, but I get another 5% or so when the arms are level.

I'm fairly sure that I build something wrong, but just wanted to check if this was normal and just needed to set epa at full droop instead.

well it depends how much droop your running i suppose, doesnt mean your not setting it wrong, on mine with the shocks half the way turned out on the rod ends, or all the way turned in the epa doesnt really change im running my rod ends flush with the end of the threads

I run that battery. It never lags and feels powerful through a non stop 15 min run. I can tell you that you are making the greatest move if you get it.

Also sucks what happened to your esc. :tire::tire::tire:

Hideeho
If it's an MIP al top shaft look @ the teeth very closely. I had 5 teeth that I had to file down because there was a lip on the drivers side edge. If it's avid check any way. Everything I've seen from them has been spot on, but mistakes do happen.
