I run mine this way and really like the feel. Of course this is not ROAR legal though. Stupid rule as the car was not modified at all. I am going to try a tray though on my SC10 and my B4

I have a buddy running one, he ran it in the tray, and on the shelf. He said on the shelf it feels better overall, and helps it jump better as well.

Well if you run it on the shelf you can mount the receiver and transponder under it assuming your running shorty pack

Thanks guys. I'll run the standard setup first when I build the car so I have some reference, then may go with the battery tray mount second since i'm doing the shorty SMC 4600 battery, then buy a shelf if I like/notice a difference. It's my first 2wd buggy so may take some time before I notice subtle changes.

I will be using the avid motor centering plate, going to harvest it off my SC10 since they seem to be out of stock everywhere and i'm guessing I would notice it more on the buggy.

I think you just come on here to toot your own horn and hear yourself talk! Wild cherry is the most helpful guy on this thread, I don't even know him and he has helped me out personally more than anyone I even race with by sharing his thoughts on what he has tested. So do us a favor and go tell somebody who cares. I'm not the kinda person who likes to blast people behind a keyboard but your comments really get under my skin!!!

I ran te shelf mod for the last 2 months an just now went back to standard side pod layout and feels much more stable and less twitchy to me. I absolutely make less mistakes with the old side pod layout. A few less rollovers each run too.

It's indoor clay, smooth slick and usually a little damp. Would say it's medium grip.

Ah well, I read that on higher traction surfaces its suppose to be more noticable than on lower traction surfaces

That's awesome being as you served in Afghanistan they should be free!

I thought of the same thing but I measured my car against someone elses with the stock tower and theres not a measurable difference so I left my limiters the same.

I have yet to run mine with the limiters out, I will on Friday. Did it feel good with them left in?

are you talking about the limiters inside the shock? If so i am running 2 limiters all the way around, I ran it like this outdoor with front/rear 1.6 30 weight with like a green spring on front and a white or gray on the rear. This was on a loose-medium grip track, with a fair amount of bumps, Indoor with high bite orite carpet I am currently running 1.5 pistions 27.5 oil front and rear with 2 limiters, and like green on front and white/gray on rear and i liked it with both, particularly with full rebound indoors, no rebounds outdoors

Im assuming since jconcepts released a carbon front tower for the c4.2 that is should fit the b4 as well. Anyone else see it?
