p1hobbies.com has them for $279.99 and you can enter my driver promo code MOBERLY2013 to get 5% off that and just about anything else you order. Click on 'Additional Info' for the product to make sure it is coupon eligible. Coupon works only 1 time per customer.

I ripped the stud out of the u-brace

You can put longer ball studs in the u-brace with a mini nut on the bottom side to eliminate that pulling out crap.

Tower, and some guys post the codes they get from being a member in a thread on here:

If it works it looks like you would save $40

Speedtech has it for $249 in their online specials section.

On another note, what is the purpose of running the carbon pieces. Carbon will be stiffer and have less bite correct? I don't know the reason for the carbon over the aluminum on the front hinge pin brace though. Thanks in advance, searching didn't help.

One of our local AE sponsored drivers said Friday that the carbon hinge pin brace is much tighter to the hinge pin then the aluminum one is, reducing slop on the front end.

Also less prone to stripping out the bulkhead(that's what I was told)

That makes sense.

I just picked up a mylaps hybrid transponder. Man these wires are really stiff. did they use solid core wire? anyway, how are you guys wrapping up the excess wire? I normally pig tail it, but this stuff is really stiff. I dont wanna over flex it. seems like it will break if I do. I also do not want to shorten the wires.

I heard the wire is the way it is to be resistant to fuel for the nitro cars. I curl my excess wire around a hex driver.

I always curl my wire on a screw driver without problems. Their plug is a bit shoddy though and I had a few races where it costed me laps!

Mine is mounted in front of the servo , no need to trim or wrap any excess because there isn't any.
