It's been my experience that the standard brace A works best in outdoor conditions, track that aren't smooth, off cambers, elevation changes. C hubs and shaved are good for med to high traction smooth tracks with flat turns.

Maybe you can answer my question, could I dremel my sxx tabs so they are also open? like the Flow?
It's a pain in the ... from soldering new wires on my sxx, on the flow it's just a dream lol

dont dremel the solder tabs. you can ruin the board and defect the esc. i would suggest putting solder on the wire (good amount) then cut around the solder to make it smaller. then heat from the bottom of the esc while pushing the wire through. hope this makes sense.

Yeah, that's how I normally do it, but still.. it's not that easy.
Well, thanks for warning me or I would have ruined my esc

Martijn

Heat hole with tip of iron and blow the solder out .

trim wire to fit inside hole ( no solder yet)

solder wire to ESC from bottom or opposite side of the board

Oke, thanks for the i.fo.

I'm currently running the flow but keeping the sxx as a spare esc. Might solder the wires on the sxx for the centermounting config. So it's easier to test

I use my body reamer to open the holes up a little and it makes easier to get the wires through.

Thanks WC. I'm heading to the track in a few minutes. I put one thick pad in front of my battery and 56g all the way back (I didn't have the typical 7g in both rear corners before). The weight isn't stuck to the chassis so I can pull it out if I don't like it.

Yes , use 40 gr in the rear tray when using the shorty ...

balance in the air , landings & traction performance is awesome this way ...

So, went to the track today for some testing with the tapered pistons (3 x 1.4)
Started with 25wt rear and 30 front.

Car handled pretty good, it just nosedived on the jumps. Went from 25wt to 30wt rear.
Nose diving solved. Still handled great in the corners.

Now, we actually never swiped the track. That's why it (is) was pretty slippery..
You couldn't drive with holeshots or bar codes.. only Goosebumps and some losi bigshots.
BUT now we can

What my question is now, how can we keep the track like this?
So we don't have to swipe the whole track after each race? watering it between each run?
Some suggestions?

Track is some kind of dirt mixed with a small amount of sand. Also we only do 8 races on a whole season + sometimes there are some people practicing. So it does wear as much like a track where they race every week..

Also a panorama shot

I ran it with a 1/2" pad in the front and it was dialed. The track is super high grip and with even with worn Orange Bar Codes F/R I had a ton of traction. The steering was perfectly balanced.
