Even though this guy is slow, his cars are in great shape and well taken care of.

Can somebody please point me to a video on the vta slipper build. Just finished building my kit and I screwed something up. I've got the bolt all the way tight and still slipping like crazy.

"Fits B4 and B4.1 RTR". its not for the 4.2 +8

iThinman 06-23-2013 01:43 PM

yeah, was loose of course. thanks man

Team G Racing 06-23-2013 02:11 PM

It does fit the B4.2, just does not droop down in the front.

iThinman 06-23-2013 02:39 PM

here's my first ride with mine. Diff and slipper still need adjustments, but at least it moves now. :)

What are the pros and cons performance wise to running the V1 Bulldog or the V2 Bulldog?

i have ran both, the v1 seemed to get alittle more high speed forward bite (cleaner air to the wing) and the v2 got alot more high speed side bite (due to the fin/more aggressive sides)

to add: did not seem like it had any change on low speed steering between the two like i thought it would. the biggest difference was in high speed chicanes, the v2 i was a good bit more stable through them.

just got some suburb fronts. the inserts look like there from buggy rears. do you really shove the whole insert in the tire? or do you trim it. if you trim it how much do you trim

Team G Racing 06-23-2013 04:13 PM

I trim a little bit off, but they will work with the whole insert.

Hideeho
Depends on the track. My track is rather bumpy so I only use 1/2 in each wheel (1 insert cut in half does both wheels). A few layouts ago it was much smoother so I ran 3/4 foam. If its really smooth (for dirt) either full insert crammed in or closed cell inserts are the ticket.

F&SRacing 06-23-2013 04:49 PM

I am a newb to racing and new here but in all my bashing years I would lay the foam insert next to the wheel, mark it for width and cut off the excess.

WildCherry posted this earlier, its a good place to start
