You are using the 5-40 screws, right?

How is everyone setting up their electronics in their car?

Make sure you use the 9/16 ones in the front of the shock tower and the 7/16 in the rear of it.

Heck that might be it, I thought it was 7's all around. I build em right the first time but never think to pull out the instructions on rebuilds.

THANK YOU
Kevin

Some people prefer inline, while others prefer side pods. Depends on preference.

Whats up All!!

Has anyone else noticed that the chassis holes that receive the screws that go to the rear shock tower, through the u-brace into the chassis strip relatively easily? I've now had two go in 12 months. I've heard somewhere that you just drop a few layers of CA down in there and let it dry you can get to where you can get hardware to hold, might that be true? I'm $60.00 into chassis plates and not really looking into getting more. Any input is appreciated!!!

Kevin

I stripped them. I resolved it by using a longer screw. I dont remember the size but it was just 1 longer and it tightened down no problems.

Yes, a few drops of ca glue has worked for me numerous times.

Anybody have experience with kyosho front rims on the b4? Is the offset the same? I am aware the hole needs to be enlarged to fit the axel diameter.

Wildcat1971 06-20-2013 10:42 AM

they "should" be the same. But not all makes are the same even for the b4.

I see you have a RB6 and 4.2, check out DE Racing's wheels they fit RB6 and 4.2.

Wildcat1971 06-20-2013 10:52 AM

yeah, they "fit" he was asking about offsets. some people say the tlr/b4/kyosho rears have different offsets based on in world tests and not manufacture spec. Someone in the rb6 measured some rears. no one did the fronts though

I've had problems with the AKA fronts. They label them as AE/KO but that's a stretch. You have to carefully drill them out, and that's about 3-4 bit sizes to step up....if you're trying to be super careful.

The bigger issue is the wheel and hex are too thin! I striped the hex because I use the JC axles. The wheel nuts bottom out before getting a bite on the wheel. If you're running stock FT axles, that won't happen. But...the wheels are a bit too shallow for my prefs.

I have a feeling the Kyoshos might have the same problems.

Do the 4.2 and 4.1 worlds have the same chassis? Reason I ask is proline sells bodies for B4.1+8mm and B4.2 and they're different part numbers.
