I think AE does a great job keeping money in racers pockets. The car is loaded for 279. I kinda with other would make "pro" versions of their kits with the upgrades racers use.

I watch a lot of threads. Kyosho, Losi, durango etc. Aside from a QC issues, the b4 seems to have the least amount of issues out of the box. But again, it is a very mature platform, so that is part of it.

Those looks nice, but iy looks like they were designed to me tightened with a pliers, boo.

It stated that you use a 3/16 open end wrench or the shock tool that comes with the big bores.

so i just broke my diff screw trying to follow the kit instructions. should i have pre-compressed the diff spring or something? i couldn't get anything but +2deg camber prior to attempting the "man up" on that screw.

good thing dremel skills are part of an RC'ers skill set. ended up being the smoothest diff i have built too.... kinda sad.

Pretty buff lol.

My spring looks a bit rough. I just ordered some replacement screws and diff springs. When the parts arrive I'll take pics of the old one.

Make sure you install the screw / nut into the correct outdrive. It sounds like you had it backwards.

What is the recommended stainless, silver, and not heavy set?

All I see are these and lunsford, these being $30 and lunsford at an overpriced $100.:cry::cry:

There is a HUGE difference in quality, weight, & toughness between the stainless & titanium, hence the HUGE price difference. For something that is even tougher than titanium, but with the huge price (or bling ), I have these for sale:

Here is my question regarding the avid standoffs. I have a b4.1 that is completely upgraded to a b4.2 except that my shock towers are dremeled rather than using the recommended spacing for big bores.

SHould i order the direct fit b4.2 standoffs since the new shock towers will be out soon?

It depends on when the towers actually arrive in stores. They're a running change and hobby stores will sell old stock before new stuff. I would get the standoffs for your existing tower then down the road when you have the new towers in hand, purchase the new standoffs.

Wildcat1971 02-13-2013 05:58 AM

you dremeled your towers. So you should be able to use the short standoffs front and rear. I am using the plastics ones f/r, so I dont know why the short ones would not work for you.
