Has anyone had any problems with the shocks rebound after running them for the weekend. I am new to RC and bought the SCT410 new, I have people look at the track take a look and we have took them a part but I am still having issues with them. should I just buy the CNC shaft guides or are the stock ones fine. some input would help thanks

Sharing some love...
Started RC racing in June at RCHQ in San Antonio. Great crowd with 20-30 racers Wed and Sat. Track is mid-size - VERY hot and generally pretty loose. My first SC is the Tekno (so I learned with it). I went from DFL to top 3 finishes in 2 months with this thing. I bent the stock rear tower at Thornhill a couple of weeks ago in 2nd qual... so DNF there, but nothing has bent or broken.
It nearly dances over the rough stuff and flies well. Slight nose down, but not like the problem mentioned here. I am running the TLR body, light weight driveline parts and chassis, RCShox DS pistons (30R/Red,35F/Green), stock positions, HW SCT-Pro/4Kva with 16t and 17MM hexes with Sweeps (have an EB48 too, and don't want to manage two types of tires).
Big Losi crowd, but I've made 2 converts...
It's a piece of cake to work on, and the community is strong and supportive.
Thanks guys/girls.

I have been reading over the thread for the last couple of days and have seen some very good info doing so, most of the questions I had were answered with a little searching. What I'm trying to say is you guys have some very good knowledge and it's good to see it being shared. Good job fellas. Hope I can help out whenever I can.
I'm running the gen 2 rx8 and the pro 4 hd 4300 kv with 16t pinion stock spur . I run venom packs in my Ebuggy 4s 5300 mah and the packs are great iv considered running venom packs in my sct410 iv looked at the 5000 60c is anyone running these packs and what kind of run times are you getting? I'm trying to decide what packs to get for this truck . Thanks for y'all's help

I'm looking for Daniel's post but I believe he said the sct410.2 version won't be worked on until the NB48, NT48, and ET48 are out.
Found it.
"SCT410.2 hasn't been discussed yet, FYI. SC is a different market. We'll have to assess that after we get the nitro buggy, nitro truggy, and electric truggy out the door."

I've had a similar shock rebounding problem w/ the rear shocks on my 410. My issue was due flashing on the stock shock pistons & limiters inside of the shock bottom. Dirt build up on the rear hinge pin was also causing some binding. Tekno support also mentioned that it could be caused by a bent hinge pin but that wasn't the case in my 4x4

I was in the same boat as you but once I heard this I started on my kit right away.
So far so good with the build. I'm about half way done with the car.

Hello again, I finished my build last night and this thing is awsome! Just got to run it for a few minutes in front of the house but in comparison to my sc10 4x4 I can really see huge potential. I do have a ? The kit came with 3k 5k and 7k for the diffs and I put them 5/7/3 front to rear is that correct? Thanx and way to go Tekno
I think the .2 reflected some changes that needed to be made to that car like the new diffs, included with the SCT410. "What do I need to buy?" has been asked many times in this forum and the only answers you'll see are aluminum hexes and an aluminum steering horn. Anything else is just a setup piece to personalize the feel or something that you'd need if you were hitting posts at full speed.
Of course it wouldn't be fun if you couldn't bling the truck out with some aluminum and carbon pieces.

Not that I'd be the first to know but I haven't heard anything about a new truck.
[QUOTE=Kuya_Kimo;12459510]12 pinion is way too small for this truck. People who drove Losi/AE typically have to go 2 pinion sizes larger to get the same results. For example, my Losi used a 14T @ 4600 and now use a 16T with the SCT410.
Thanks for the info I will go with my 15T
