aluminum. they broke a few plastic ones during testing, and threw the aluminum ones in free of charge so we won't have that headache :D

Haven't begun the build yet. Are you saying the SCT410 comes with aluminum hinge pin holders or just the front comes with one aluminum hinge pin holder? At work away from the kit right now but will be ordering spares here shortly.

just the front, front hinge pin holder is aluminum out of the box.

you also get the plastic version too for the front.

Question on the rear hingepin holders in alloy.

If you use an alloy holder, can you use say just the front-rear or rear-rear and get the same benefit?

Got an EB48 here and was thinking I could just donate the one of the two to the vehicle, but not sure if you get more durability benefit from one or the other.

Well it looks like I'll be turning to the Darkside and getting a Tekno soon and looking forward to it. I got to test drive a couple over the past couple weeks at our track and compared to the othe "brand" all I can say is WOW, the Tekno is pretty sick.

I've been following along with what I can for the Setup info and looks like some really good info. I do have a question on some of the shock oils and springs though.

I saw that some mentioned running the HB Grey Springs F/R and was wondering what oil they are using for them. Also with the Losi Red & Green springs F/R what oils are being used. I already have the springs avaible so just curious on oil.

Also is the composite Ackerman OK or should I get the Alum one. I already plan on getting the Alum Hexes.

I look forward to starting to build my new "monster" soon

If i where you i would try the stock springs and oils first as i have just raced my 410 for the fourth time and fourth tracks and the truck worked great on all four. The only thing i changed from the stock build was the shock mounting location on the tower to the second to last hole from the inside and the droop 4mm lest than stock. Aluminum hexes yes. Now i am going to replace the oils with fresh oil of the same weight. When it gets hot out i may go thicker on the oils but for now i like the stock shock and diff setup.:)

OK, will do and try out.... I heard alot of people say the stock or box setup is actually pretty good.

Pro Match batteries

I think Cain and another guy on this forum recommended Pro-Match batteries so I ordered a few. Super impressed, definitely one of the most powerful packs I've ever used and they had them on my door step in three days. Hmmm great product and good service. Kind of reminds me of another company we all think highly off!

glad you like them. they sure do ship fast too. I ordered mine in the morning and they were here in 2 days.

Has anyone experimented with the different ackerman locations in the steering link ? What is the difference between the three ? I am looking to gain some on power steering .
