Got it, thank you!

Awesome info, Thank you sir!

Also, if the rear center dogbone is the only part wearing, it's extremely cheap to replace compared to center shafts on other vehicles. I have the mugen tool and have replaced pins on my mbx6e and it's been great. After replacing the pins, one of the outdrives started to wear faster. All those parts aren't cheap and i'm glad so far my sct410 rear center dogbone pins are the only things wearing out quickly right now. Since I already have the tool I may swap the pins once they get close to 1/2. The only thing i would watch out for is the if the pin metal is harder than the outdrive metal, the outdrive will start wearing out instead of the pin. I'd rather the short cheap dogbone wear out.

Does any webbing need to be cut on the 22SCT wheels if using the Tekno Alloy hexes?

I got mine from Amain before the big run on the kyosho pistons started lol. You can also seal off your stock pistons, that is what timmybrown did with great success, he just had to use a lighter oil.

And as I mentioned, you can also then just drill the stock pistons out to 1.3mm if need be.

both in the 8 hole configuration. I use 1.3mm x 8, timmybrown was using 1.2 x 8 after sealing the 2 of the holes in the stock pistons. from what I recall, he was about 2.5W lighter than me and had great performance on the track as well as far as jump handling, etc where you see the benefit with the pistons.

I also use these pistons on my EB48 as well, works great.

I also wonder how well 1.1mm x 10 hole would work out too if you are having trouble finding the 1.3 x 8 hole pistons. would have more pack than the 1.2 x 10 holes for sure.

Cain I finally went threw my truck to get it ready for this weekend at rick's over in Wisconsin big blown out 1/8 scale track. I ended up staying with the 8 hole 1.2 pistons and put 32.5 losi front and 25 losi rear truck feels really good on the bench. Pink front green rear tekno springs. I will let you know how it goes. If my trucks going to nose over it will happen at this track.

i just ordered that pin tool and some pins from amain. i am thinking if you heat up the shaft, the pins should come out easier...i will try on a spare shaft to see.

Stop by and and Zac, Danny, or Thomas should be able to get you sorted out. The outdrive is probably fine, just some metal flashing.

Thanks. I'll do some filing on it tonight, or head over there WNW, whichever is feeling like less effort at the time, lol.

QUOTE by NitroOB4You: Since we're on the subject of wheels, I have been running TLR 22SCT wheels with the Tekno Alum hex, no problems...if you want to have that "fixed" on the first page.

Anyone going to SC Showdown @ RCE/ Fitchburg,MA this w/end? :sneaky:

I will also add, the +3mm sc10 wheels are too wide for some bodies with stock hexes. Fits some but not others. With aluminum hexes it'd be worse. I'm going to try and share the stock sc10 wheel between cars. The scte wheels are a little too narrow for my 2w.

Probably a good idea. I tried removing one last year at room temp and I broke the tool on the first pin. It just happened to be a pin in a Tekno v4 kit for my d8 and it was the rear shaft.

Or an alternative to the expensive pin tool...

Put one side of the pin in a small socket and compress in a vise to press the pin out.

$0.00 tool :D

The best pin remover there is.

Are the body mounts that go over the shock tower the same for the front and back. I think they gave me two backs won't fit on front thanks

Racerz27 04-23-2013 05:42 PM

After reading the last few pages I see alot of people talking about nose down issues in the air.. Strangely mine does the opposite, which I cant complain because all i gotta do is tap the brake and im level again. Honestly, I have yet to have any nose down issues. My truck is set up completely stock except for the rear camber link down 1 from stock.

Let me know, I can donate time, labor, or anything else you may need to get this running. This is only a 15 to 20 minute drive for me! I used to own a REAL racetrack that races outlaw sprint cars (atticaracewaypark.com), so I have boatloads of experience with racetracks!
