I can't even begin to explain on how badass the new Viper VTX8 ESC really is. I've been running one in my EB48 for about a month and I'm very happy I made the switch from Tekin. I too have had my share of issues with the rx8. The new viper is now the standard for 1/8 esc's. Not to mention they have the biggest BEC and the most durable alum case on the market.

The faster you hit the jump the more it's going to nosedive. I cured mine by going to Pink front springs and heavier oil all around. Not big changes, but it's enough to stop the nosediving and make it land the jumps much better.

Depending on the conditions of the track you run on you may have to go stiffer on the springs.

From what I see on the bottem of the truck mind you I have only ran 2 packs in the truck that there is a lot of scratches on the rear of the truck so it's either bottoming out or slapping the rear as it goes off jumps.
