I'm wondering how to reach the 2600g weight ?
I guess you will get 70g from the optional Chassis and 100g from shorty lipo (asuming you run a 7mn race).
Could you please explain how do you save additional 200g as I'm targeting that low weight for indoor astro track ?

From what I know Jamr,Danny S. (WCRC) was killin it with a Mugen.I was at the track watching the races and he was fast...I think the Tekno SCT should have no problem at all doing the same thing

has anyone preordered from TowerHobbies before, I see that they have the SCT410 for preorder but have it listed at $565.99. do they drop the price before release or are they actually going to charge that price? I dont see it at Amain yet.

- The price listed is what they are selling it at right now
- If you order it at that price right now, that is what you will pay
- They will not confirm if they will drop the price

Yeah I sent a message to amian asking about when they will offer it. I want to preorder it but not at a $165 premium.

Tower hobbies also got the eb48 in 3 monyhs after everyone else

Guess I will not be ordering from Tower, will ahve to see about AMAIN. does anyone know if ordering from amain will get it to you about the same time as ordering from Tekno. I would just order from tekno but they charge as soon as you preorder rather than when they ship so I would prefer someone who wont charge till it ships.

but then I dont have patience and will just suck it up if its my only option.

To be fair, Tower got their initial shipment at the same time as everybody else. They just didn't order enough of them from Tekno to cover their pre-orders and didn't process the first batch for 2 days. They also didn't keep the order of their pre-orders in order, so even if you were one of the first to pre-order (like I was), that doesn't actually help you get it sooner.

If you want to pre-order, ask your local hobby shop if they'll be ordering it with the first batch, and then if you don't get a good answer, Stormer and RPP have them to pre-order right now at expected street price.

I would guess that it will be similar to the EB48 pre-orders, and that Tekno itself will probably have the SCT410 pre-order button up soon™, and so will AMain. Sometime after that, Tower may drop the price to match others, or more likely drop the price to above others so you have to use their biggest private paid for discount codes to match the others.

I called amain and they said it should be available for pre order next week.

I used one when I ordered my eb48, actually after they email you to let you know the product is available. Bottom line I was able to take advantage of their $25 off coupon.
