Its a 5000 turnigy it was 50$ only the thunder power next to it was 180$ lol.... i run a rx8 and a 1900 in my eb48 and it runs super cool with a 16,17,18 tooth pinion! I would try the sct410 in a 10 minute practice or race before worrying about making it lighter! Could be the ratio or just a more efficient drivetrain

Looks like a new toy I will have to pick up soon. Subscribed.

I got to see some of the trucks running when I raced on this past Wednesday & they looked great! Rock solid, fast & precise. In my opinion Dannys truck looked the best on the track. They will have a great starting set up ready by the time the truck is released. I'm really excited about getting this SC!

2 of the 3 fastest trucks, both losis, couldn't make 10min. on the track last weekend.

How many MAHs in that Turnigy battery?

I have a SCTE & have not had problems running far longer than 10 mins. Using a Reedy 6500 or my Nano 6600 i can run for 15 mins w/ou hitting lipo cut off. Running rx8 & pro 4 4600. My truck weighs 6.2 lbs rtr.

That being said I'm very interested in the Tekno truck.

Question.--Would you say this truck is better for large 1/8 outdoor tracks or indoor clay tracks. Presently I have 2 Losi's 1 for winter & 1 for summer outdoor:nod:

I'm dumping my losi for this. Unless tlr reinvents sliced bread with the tlr 2.0,
(which they probably won't).

Run time is going to differ from driver to driver and from track to track. These were pro drivers running on a high bite track.

So was that Danny S wheeling the truck with a blue body? That was the new Tekno? Caught the West Coast RC Turkey race on Live RC and man he looked dialed in every round.

I was at SDRC and it was Danny from Tekno, his body is the truck body on their website.

The Danny you're talking about is the owner of WCRC, and he is insanely fast (two time ROAR champion in stock SC and truck). Not to mention he is dialed on his own track:deathstar

Not sure what he is driving these days, but last I saw, it was a SCTE.

I think when most people talk about Danny and Tekno, they refer to Danny down in San Diego, owner of Tekno, and can usually be found driving at SDRC. I saw Tekno Danny wheeling the SCT410 when I visited SDRC, and he was hauling:nod:

Most of us are not pros so i think my statement is still valid. My personal experience was on a high bite track as well. True, driving style and setup will affect others outcomes too.

I'm no Losi fanboy. I'll probably buy this truck when it becomes available. Just stating my personal experience.

i'm guessing the jan '13 release date is VERY conservative. my guess is these will start shipping around Dec. 15.

My bad. I know this is the Tekno thread and Danny Lewis is the owner of Tekno. You mentioned seeing Danny (Tekno) racing last Wednesday and was looking real fast. As a coincidence I watch the Wednesday race at WCRC as saw Danny (WCRC) put a hurt down in SC 4wd class winning every heat...and I got a little confused. Oops! But I did watch Danny Lewis on the videos he posted a few pages back and his SCT410 did look awesome there.
