Trust me, I've probably owned twice as many cars as you have, including (GASP!) an EB48 that actually came with a body.

Well , you sound like a (GASP!) punk from all the attitude so I doubt it ..... BTW 30 yrs in the hobby here  I bet you're what 15-16 at best ?

But you have your opinion and you stated it . If not having those parts is a big deal to you then dont get the kit and run something else . Simple as that ....

Random question but could I convert this truck to a extremely light 1/8 buggy setup with just some wheel adapters, a body and the wing mount? It would be pretty cool to run two classes with it! Thanks and either way I'm probably buying this truck when it hits shelves!

This is 100% possible with some 17mm adapters. The SCT410 is 10mm narrower than the EB48, but we already have a prototype axle that we are testing to bring it back to 1/8th spec. We'll let you know how that turns out. You will need the buggy front bumper and body mounts to but it is a very simple process.

Go ahead and send one my way for amateur field testing. I can properly abuse just about anything, lol

Tekno,
When will the 17mm sct width hex adapters be ready?

I'm definitely ready to go back to the DE 17mm sct wheels.

rcgod 12-31-2012 11:24 AM

Is there an actual date when this will be available? I keep hearing two weeks and sometime in january.

superslow 12-31-2012 11:56 AM

How many mm off would it be width wide, from the specs it only seems like an unnoticeable difference. Thanks and that lightweight setup looks real good!

Buggies are 310 ish. SCT is 296.

Hey TEKNO,
I see there are diff ways to do the shocks, vented, emulsion etc... I was wondering which style you guys liked the best and also what are the pros and cons of each style. I don't know the benefits of one compared to the other and so forth. Thx

Vented (like the EB48) is very consistent and results in very little or 0 rebound if that's how you want to build them.

Emulsion didn't seem as consistent, but the rebound characteristics worked well in bumpy conditions.

Standard build is sort of in between since there is more rebound than vented (the air trapped between the bladder and the cap produces rebound), but more consistency than emulsion.

Right now I'm running emulsion in the buggy and standard in my SCT410. I think getting the right oil and spring combo matters way more than the way you build the shock however.

 Funny stuff! Got mine ordered the instant it was available to preorder. "Patiently" waiting. Got 2 different Proline Floteks that I''ll be painting up for this truck and my FT SC10.

Tekno's willingness to come on and actually post is a big reason I decided to go with them!
