Trust me, I've probably owned twice as many cars as you have, including (GASP!) an EB48 that actually came with a body.
But you have your opinion and you stated it . If not having those parts is a big deal to you then dont get the kit and run something else . Simple as that .... |

Random question but could I convert this truck to a extremely light 1/8 buggy setup with just some wheel adapters, a body and the wing mount? It would be pretty cool to run two classes with it! Thanks and either way I'm probably buying this truck when it hits shelves!

Go ahead and send one my way for amateur field testing. I can properly abuse just about anything, lol

Tekno,
When will the 17mm sct width hex adapters be ready? I'm definitely ready to go back to the DE 17mm sct wheels. |
Is there an actual date when this will be available? I keep hearing two weeks and sometime in january.
|
hopefully the tekno team give us a release date as a new years gift or some outside video of the truck!!!!!!!!!!
the eb48 thread had around 75 pages before it was realeased sct410 has 90 and still going thats alot of pages before a release of an actual kit! lol.. |

How many mm off would it be width wide, from the specs it only seems like an unnoticeable difference. Thanks and that lightweight setup looks real good!

Hey TEKNO,
I see there are diff ways to do the shocks, vented, emulsion etc... I was wondering which style you guys liked the best and also what are the pros and cons of each style. I don't know the benefits of one compared to the other and so forth. Thx Emulsion didn't seem as consistent, but the rebound characteristics worked well in bumpy conditions. Standard build is sort of in between since there is more rebound than vented (the air trapped between the bladder and the cap produces rebound), but more consistency than emulsion. Right now I'm running emulsion in the buggy and standard in my SCT410. I think getting the right oil and spring combo matters way more than the way you build the shock however. |

Vented (like the EB48) is very consistent and results in very little or 0 rebound if that's how you want to build them.

Next time I buy a truck, I hope GM doesn't include tires, windshield wipers, or brakes so I can choose ones that I really like.
