No official release date, but we are working our tails off to get it out as soon as we can. We'll have more info in a couple weeks probably.

Curious, and if you rather wait to answer thats fine, but, would this be compatible with some of the cool features the EB48 can use like the Traktion drive and the mechanical brakes setup?

Yes, but not out of the box. You will need the buggy center outdrives for mechanical brake usage. TD/EC would be the same as the buggy, just flip the diff. But for such a light truck (in race trim), neither should be necessary.

We've always offered the options and left it to the market to decide what to do with them. It's funny, the other day during testing I noticed the motor brakes causing a slight push and thought about hooking up some mechanical brakes.

Im guessing it will be just like the EB48 kit, no wheels or tires and clear body...

Im new to your company but everything Ive seen lets me know this thing will be a BEAST!

That's the part that I was curious about as looking at some vid of the other SCTs, I wondered how the vehicle could do with sort of a free wheeling action and brake bias.

Excited to see some vids, were any taken during that race?

Sweet! No need to buy all new wheels/tires. Shared components with the buggy. Tekno quality.Just let me know when I can place my preorder.

Some of the basics:
The SCT410 will share about 75-80% of the parts from the EB48 (diffs too). That means there are already spares on the market and there are already a load of options available before it gets released.

People have been clamoring for an SCT with true 1/8th scale roots and we have answered the call. But we didn't phone it in. There are a lot of newly designed parts on the car to replace some of the heavier 1/8th scale parts and keep the weight down.

In full trim (all bumpers, side guards, with a big 6400mah 2s battery) the truck is ~6.7lbs. With optional parts and a shorty pack, it's a couple ounces over the minimum at around ~5.7lb with room to possibly go even lower. We'll have a very simple how-to video explaining how we got the weight so low.

For indoor use we've found lighter is better. For outdoor tracks that are rougher, the truck feels better when it's a little heavier. The good part is that you can tailor it to just about any situation.

As far as durability, normally we're pretty modest, but we think it's the most durable truck on the market - hands down. Handling is consistent and can be tuned to suit different driving styles. Hard anodized 16mm shocks anyone?

Very nice Danny. I saw you running PRO 4 on Wednesday night when I poped in at SDRC and mentioned to Fredog...."When did Danny start running PRO4?"... and Fred mentioned you wipped on him at the Trackstar race. He never mentioned this release and I didn't put 2 and 2 togther.

I't all making sense now :-)

Congats on the new release!! It looked hooked up!!!

I saw that, a big selling point for me, I won't need new wheels tires.

I'm sure they will, I switched when I went to the losi from my hyper and buying new sets was annoying and expensive.
It figures I just upgraded my losi to the kingheadz chassis, all tekno drive train. What to do, what to do?

Yeah... got a bit burnt out with it all and took a couple of months off. Was trying to mess with too many classes and wasn't really having fun or success in any. Picked up a new 2wd platform during the week to try and get focused and enthused again and get back into it. Get the thing tuned and hopefully get on the dirt next week.

And now you drop this kit into the mix.....

Seems a bit porky to me even with shortys. The scte I have tips the scales at 5.9 pounds rtr with 6800 ip pack with KH everything, tekno everything removed bumper side guards etc. Of course this will be awesome with 1/8 diffs for durability and I love metrics on all my cars.
