rifraf, this was post #2377 on page 159. you'll probably find more examples if you search the thread for "aka cyclone". The wheels were discussed a lot when we were all waiting for the truck to ship.

also their website does say they'll have limited staff until the 24th because of that snowy Nitro Challenge. I'm sure they'll answer your question if your not satisfied with what you find.

Pres seems to run them too.

What brand pinions are you guys running because I haven't heard this come up in here yet?

Just wanting to check, you have the diff installed so that the spur gear is closer to the front of the truck, right? It will go in either way, but standard pinions will only reach if the spur is in the front. The rear position is for long shank pinions and clutch options.

I run aka rims with no issues. In fact aka rims were suggested numerous times in this thread

Not sure about Renegades, the F-11's work without mods though. Possibly you might need to remove some webbing for clearance in the rear when using max or min wheelbase.

I've noticed that my rear shock preload collars are pretty far from even.

Seems the esc/motor/servo side is a bit heavier than the battery side?

Anyone else notice?

Anyone running a LRP or Sonic motor?

Yep I ran my reedy sonic 4.0 with a Robinson pinion with no problems just to try it out. Which way is the diff gear facing, towards the front or back?

Depends on what motor esc combo you are running but yes mine is slightly heavier on that side as well, but my pre load collars are only a few mm different in the rear

that's interesting, I normally set ride height by adjusting the collars the same amount for the right and left shocks on that end of the truck. only time I ever had different shock collar heights was in on-road where you have to worry about tweak.

AKA wheels fit without any mods or removing of any steering linkage washers/shims. As of late I have been using AE SC10 4 x 4 offset, part 23005. They add about 1.4mm of width per side for a little more stability :)
