Any idea of how much battery you are using in that 8 mins?

I was 40% of 6600 Mah in 6 minutes, and 29% for 8 minutes.
My packs are also almost 2 years old and I don't treat them well, so overall Mah may be reduced, however I did have good punch towards the end of the race.

Just a general question. I'm running a Tekin Pro 4 4600kv motor with Novak ESC. I'm running a 14t pinion with the stock spur. Is this a good combo or am i off a bit?

So does everybody prefer the hobby wing 4000kv or 4600kv for a med. high bite track?

Stock is pink in the rear, black in the front.

14t will be good for a small track. 15 or 16 for larger tracks.

The wires are hard-wired to the esc (mamba max pro), so i can't remove them. Guess i might just have to unsolder my connectors and solder an extension wire to the existing wire.

Well this might not help you immediately, but you can always send your ESC back to Castle with $15.00 and they'll replace all of your wires with brand new ones, possibly your case too.

Report from super average guy here...they had the timing loop live tonight at the track, so I was able to gather some good data by driving my old vs new back to back. On a track where the currently layout for me is 14.5-16 second avg lap, I was consistently .5 sec faster. Plus, those laps were so much easier to hit. To get fast laps with my old truck I felt like I was driving on the razor's edge. With the Tekno I was able to sit back, have fun, and knock out consistently fast laps.

I'm running a Castle MMP esc and Tekin Pro4 4600kv with a 15t pinion...esc was coming off the track at 115 degrees and the motor was 130-155 degrees.

The bad news...one of the fastest guys at the track (that's you Marc) should have his any day and the track owner said 3 more are one the way. So I'll retain my backmarker status...but at least I'll have fun doing it!

I like the 4000kv for shorter tracks but the 4700kv would be good for larger tracks..............

I'm running a Losi SCTE body and the front bumper is behind the body...like in the Tekno pics which looks cool but after 1 night of practice the grille/light area is pretty thrashed. Anyone have suggestions on how to mount the bumper in front of the body (other than learn to drive and stop hitting things...my friend's suggestion).

I actualy prefer the 4000kv hw motor with a bit of boost timing. I find running it this way it has more low end and just as fast if not faster then the 4700.

Good to hear you got it together already, still waiting for mine though. 14.5 is fast Man! Really looking forward to running some, especially on the outdoor track.

What pinion are you running? How much boost timing? Thanks.

How did you get the Tekno down to durango weight?

Im just wiring mine up at the moment, Im going to try a 17t first with it, this should put it in line with my old durango. They weight about the same also. I will have to look at my settings on my esc as Im not sure right now.
