What turnbuckle wrenches are you guys using?

spunkysandoval 01-21-2013 09:53 PM

I was using the STRC and it stripped out quickly. I picked up the TLR after using my friends. That thing is beefy and much better than the STRC tool. I highly recommend it.

Teeforb, I'm avg. 860 mah per minute on my 4800kv 4 pole and my motor is 2% less efficient than the pro4 4600kv motor. My 6200mah batts run down to 3.8-3.9 volts per cell at the end of a 5 min run.

That's what I'm talking about! :) Thx for the data!

That's a lot of MAH per minute lol

Good thing! I charge 5000 mA in like 8 minutes :)

Your numbers don't make sense. 860mAh per minute for 5 minutes is 4,300mAh - not including practice laps.

Your battery should be far less than 3.9 volts if it's a 6,200 pack.

I don't own a Tekno (yet) but my SCTE uses 2,000mAh (as recorded by my iCharger) for a 5.30 race time plus a couple practice laps.

I highly doubt your truck is using 2-3x that amount of juice to go the same distance.

MC Ions are the tire of choice at SDRC. Ran them at OCRC and they were great too.

After normal 5 minute race 5300 packs still have 30% left. So no worry about running too low.

I do not like running my packs to low. Looking for avg mah / minute if anyone has that info.

What tires are you running Matt?

Cool thx! Ions seems to be out of stock. I am going with beams pink

Tekno team
Are the shock stand off's for the sct410 the same as the EB48?

Not part of Tekno, but I have both vehicles and they look identical.
However, they do have different part numbers: TKR5027, TKR5527

Tekno, what's different between them?

They are different. The SC standoffs are longer (the threads for the M4 nut) to accommodate the body mounts. You could use the buggy mounts on the SC but you run the risk of the locknut not having enough thread to hold the mount to the tower.

Sorry it was supposed to say 660mah, not 860. And that's with 2 practice laps. My 6200mah rated batts actually hold just over 6800mah at 4.2v per cell so that's why they are at 3.8-3.9v (at rest) per cell after a 5min heat.

Did I put the battery straps on backwards? My buckles are on the inside...

v1r killer 01-22-2013 02:51 AM

That is we're they should be, this way the end of the Velcro is towards side of truck and easy to undo.

I believe the instructions show outside. However, as long as you're not rubbing the driveline with anything, it doesn't really matter.

My Losi turnbuckle wrech is working for me. Just started the build last night and so far I'm happy with everything.
