Amainhobbies.com will be discounting kits at 10% and all parts/Tekno conversions are 20% off. The sale will run throughout the Silver Dollar Off-Road Challenge.

I will be attending the Silver Dollar Off-Road Challenge and will be racing my TEKNO EB48 and TEKNO SCT410. Feel free to stop by and check out my cars and ask any questions you may have.

TEKNO will be coming out with some awesome new items in the near future and most of the parts are interchangable between kits. Now is the time to stock up on parts and kits and save some money in the process.

Here is a link to access the sale on Amainhobbies. com-

-faulty link went here, silly post count rules... -

See you at the track-

Austin Blair

Your link got chopped, so it doesn't work, it just takes you to Amain's home page...

I just put this esc in so I haven't changed any thing, all is the default factory settings. I recently went with ProMatch 80c 7200mah packs. They are fantastic batteries! I had two guys yesterday ask me if I was running 3s packs. I can get 12 min easy, not even close to dumping. After 11 to 12 mins my packs are around 7.45 to 7.60.

Thanks. Those are the batteries I was looking at today. Was thinking 6000mah or above.

The new Fantom 7200mah packs are very good too! They have the lowest resistance of any battery I have checked.http://www.fantomracing.com/proddeta...prod=FAN26171B

I have not had the chance to test an smc pack. Besides the color, the case looks identical in design to the revtech packs. I have been told that Fantom packs are no longer the a rebrand of the revtech. I have been running revtech batteries for the last 5 months and the packs have been excellent, virtually zero degradation in resistance. My revtech 6900 is sitting at a total of 4 milliohm of resistance, while the new Fantom is 2 milliohm of resistance.
I only hope the Fantom pack lasts as long as the revtechs have.

How are you testing the internal resistance? I use my cell lab battery charger. I have Reedy packs, Revtech, & SMC packs can't say any of my packs tested that low. Best I've tested has been in the high 2's per cell so a total in the 5's.
The Revtech actually tested the highest IR of the other named packs. No slam on them just my experience. Pack performs well though.

What aluminum servo horn is everyone using??

sickpuppy1 05-13-2013 03:39 AM

I'm using the TLR 22 series of aluminum horns. They arc up away from the servo just a bit and give more room for the nut on the bottom for the link. Works great.

DBL15 05-13-2013 04:06 AM

How can they have a sale when the SCT is not in stock?

Does it flow through to pre orders as well

Also guys a part number required for a servo horn that works on this truck for a hi tech servo?

Edit found the servo horn info all on back order lol.

mkl 05-13-2013 04:23 AM

servo horn info is on first page

Question about inserts: (not trying to start "The Great Insert Debate"!!!)
With the added weight of this truck are you finding that stock or inserts such as the AKA reds are breaking down quicker? Should we be exclusively running a firmer insert such as the AKA black to deal better with the mass of this truck? it also seems to me that the Proline V3 "may" fall into the "firmer" category?? FWIW I run on an indoor smooth medium bite track.
Thanks
