Parts support is great if you dont mind buying online , though more and more shops are carrying Tekno stuff now .... I like the Tekin RX8 and Pro4 HD 4300Kv motor myself but there are several combos that work very well in this truck ..... |

For bashing I would look into the motor/esc package suggested above but 3000kv with a 3 cell lipo for bashing... or even club racing. You wouldn't know by performance on the track, only if you looked under the hood. Not to cheat, just to say others really shouldn't complain after running along side it.

Can anyone tell me if I drill out the pre drill dimples on the j concepts high flow body to fit the scte will it fit right onto the tekno body posts?I know on the proline body I have the rear dimples were off so I just did not want to drill any unnecessary holes.

can any one tell me if they have run a tenshock motor in there sct410 at all and hobbywing exrun 3665 what one is better the 4700kv or 4000kv

I run out door too and I seen one go it quick that's why I wanted to know if the 4000kv be much tamer and handles better

Got my new tekno all hooked up and took it out yesterday for my first race with it. i must say that this truck just floated around the track like it was on a pillow. it soaked up the bumps and jumps like nothing i have seen before. I absolutely love it! The only problem i seem to be having is with my 3.1/4700 combo. For some reason the fan kept thermaling in turn causing the esc to trigger the thermal limiter. i tried 4 different fans with no luck. motor was temping 110, esc 145, fan 165. running blinky mode at the moment while i get things situated. anyone got any ideas aside from ordering a sct-pro?

Not sure if the esc or the fan was temping at 165° but either way that's not terribly hot and I wohld be surprised if that was kicking in thermal protection.
Was it 5 or so minutes into the run? It might be your lvc protection, I have seen many people have issues with HW lvc and lesser quality lipos that sag more than others. Try reduce your lvc to 6v total or 3v per cell (forgot how HW does it) and see if it still does it. I believe you can even disable lvc all together in the HW, just dont run a crazy long time and damage the lipo... disabled or 3v per cell. |
the fan was hitting 165 and would stop. the esc case was 145ish. i had the lvc at 3.1 iirc. also i was struggling on finding a gearing that was good. our local track is 75 x 175 and going off the chart on page 1, i started at a 17 and wound up at a 13 feeling like i should drop even farther, i am boggled.
