That's what I do, one day of running, clean, let sit for a few days since I'm not driving anyway and then balance with a Grid balancer.

They are heavy enough to benefit from it and do run smoother. 1/8 buggy wheels do as well. 1/10 buggy tires, I just balance them because I can

Ideally you should balance any tire that get power. When they are spinning the tires create a lot of force and multiply any off weight.

What if I have 3 or 4 through them and it's still doing it? Take the balancing clay off and run a few packs without it and see what it does?

You could. You may just need to re-balance them.

I have been looking for this truck everywhere, with no luck. Are they releasing a updated version?

good question.

That will depend on your track, power plant, and driving style. If you are trying to get high mah on the cheap, I have seen GPR 7200mah lipos from the barn floor for like $55 each, if I am recallying correctly.

Question for everyone, how viable to do you feel the SCT410 platform is in 1/8 E buggy usage? been toying again with using an SCT410 platform as my E buggy and then cutting down on spare count I have in the box.

Nope, just can't keep up with demand.
There was a post a few days back saying that Tekno has kits shipping out in a week or two... something like that... soon.

As mentioned, it will depend on the motor/esc combo you are running and your driving style. 6500mah is capable of making a 10 minute main, but it will be a little close. I would go with a 7200mah pack to be safe.

+1 if talking about the SMC's the cost and weight difference is small enough to make it worth it. If you already have the 6500, you can try it out at a club race and see how it works for your track and driving style before deciding if you need to go bigger.
